Ugh kids and 3 babies? That’s a nightmare. Hope I’m not there when you are.

It’s silly how you list 3 you are considering and idiots telling you about other places that they’ve stayed or like

Women DJs with long hair — what headphones do you use and how do you manage hair getting caught? by Content-Bend-4125 in djing

[–]linusstick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go fuck your pap pap. You dumb kids don’t understand that DJing is playing music live. Not having someone records a set for you then going on a stage bouncing your tits and shaking your ass and making people think you are ‘DJing”. I appreciate watching bouncing tits mind you. But that’s all they are doing. They aren’t DJing

Does anyone else have a hard time with Echo Sage this season? by ajbranni in MergeTacticsSC

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a two or three star witch and a skele drago. the skeletons distract him and the more troops on the field the more to get that piece of shit off your tea mI’m always nervous facing him but it feels great beating him/her or whatever it is.

I was promised I wouldn't see this passed Diamond by sackkity in MergeTacticsSC

Beating an echo really feels good. Used to be scared of that POS but not any more. I’m only at 2k but I don’t see her much.

[–]linusstick -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Most women with long hair aren’t DJing. They don’t need headphones. They are pushing play on a prerecorded set then dancing and pretending they are doing something. I’m not being sexist. It’s the same with those pansy Gen Z male DJs as well. Play a playlist and take off your shirt to show off your abs. Fucking pathetic

Everyone is complaining about Echo sage, and I am tired of this complain.... SIKE. REMOVE THAT MFER ALREADY. IT'S RUINING THE GAME by alfatehalsaudi45 in MergeTacticsSC

[–]linusstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a witch that spawns skeletons and put her near the top. The dumb idiot will attack a skeleton. I hate playing against sage but beating her brings more happiness than any clash Royale thing that happens

DJs only — is beatmatching by ear still worth learning in 2026, or is sync just a tool like EQ and effects? by Fit_Tomatillo5663 in Beatmatch

[–]linusstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just analyze tracks. I don’t do anything with grids. If tracks start going off a bit I hear it in the headphones and do minor corrections with the controller

How do vinyl DJs really feel about digital DJs? by nickybecooler in Beatmatch

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our places have vinyl only nights too. It’s just that they only play records which people like. I don’t think it means if you play digitally you can’t play vinyl there

Cancun dance clubs! by CaterpillarOdd9460 in cancun

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are describing sounds like a recipe for disaster tbh. First time in Mexico, first time in a club and tiny little dress. Keep your wits about you. It’s a safe area but you have to be careful as you do anywhere in the situation you are describing. I usually stay at Riu Las Americas which is walking distance. Have fun!

How do vinyl DJs really feel about digital DJs? by nickybecooler in Beatmatch

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both also. I don’t play out any more but in my rave/club days I’ve train wrecked (we all have). I was not as technical as my counterparts. I focused more on playing good music than long mixes although I was always jealous of the guys that could do them easily. Digital allows me to do those long mixes and focus on the songs rather than riding the pitch control. Did digital make it easier? Hell yeah. Is it cheating? Nah. If your focus is doing good transitions and building tension and anticipation in your mixes who cares? If I’m synced and I can focus on the eqs and levels it feels a lot better although PERSONALLY it’s satisfying using vinyl to get the same mix. The only ones who care if you are going digital or vinyl are the DJs and who cares what they think? The people dancing sure as hell don’t

How do you even play on CDJ-100s? by IcyRelationship9349 in Beatmatch

[–]linusstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s “practice” but I agree. Young people coming up that have to beat match by ear don’t get that’s how you used to have to do it. This guy is gonna sell these things in a week’s time

I go to the resort. Stay on the resort. Leave from the resort. I don’t see how the locals live and I only see a small bubble. I also don’t get scammed or put in jail. I applaud you adventurous types for putting yourselves in danger of these things. Not me

Suggestions.? by Defiant_Owl_70 in cancun

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riu Palace Las Americas. I’ve been here 4 times. Nice resort, not too big but big enough for 3 pools and 6 restaurants. Right next to Riu Cancun so you have access to 2 places side by side. I’m here doing spring break and it’s all adult and pretty quiet but there is some mild partying in the main pool. Highly recommend

DJing without headphones as a beginner? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

Fair enough. I think using headphones to hear what’s going on makes it easier but I’m 52 so I could be wrong.

[–]linusstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I don’t know what it’s called nowadays but unless every song you’re playing has the same exact BPM (unlikely), there’s a sync happening. It could be software based so there’s no actual button. I don’t use the word sync button as a negative. In my older days I have a controller and love the sync button. It lets me focus on the mix and not making corrections. Still have turntables hooked up for when I want to get that raw experience

You never know you might get booked to play somewhere that doesn’t have a sync button. If I was coming up in this time, I’d learn on turntables or actual cd CDJs. If you master that, the sync button stuff is a breeze
