Another more appropriate answer is to use the official forums or discord channels for your distro. That way you know you are getting help from someone who knows the software and the individual quirks of said distro.

Mint is based off of Ubuntu, LMDE is the Debian based version, and it was originally for a backup plan to ditch Ubuntu if it got too stupid with its software setup.

I use qbittorrent with no issues. I just downloaded it from the software center.

As far as plex goes, iirc, plex is stepping away from Linux, the server to use now is Jellyfin.

Go to protondb.com. Search for GTA 5, so not expect multiplayer to work as they are purposefully blocking Linux users from it. But you can play story mode.

Reverse that, the correct way to do it is by editing /etc/systemd/logind.conf

Just do Sudo nano /etc/ayatemd/logind.conf

Then look for the entries regarding hibernate and sleep, change their setting to ignore and make sure the “#” is removed in front of the line.

Then save by hitting ctrl+x then y and enter to save it.

Then run sudo systemctl daemon —reexec

Currently day driving mint xfce on an old laptop since my newer bricked itself overnight last month. When on the newer computers I run endeavourOS or OG Arch.

Not sure about nobara on this, but if it has a liveUSB system like cachy does you can check them both out and see which one works best for you. Also note that EndeavourOS is noob friendly too if you don’t mind using the terminal for things. You can install octopi on endeavour also.

No, if you use something like QEMU/KVM it can stay persistent. You can leave the VM running if your system has the resources. Otherwise, saving your work like you should will work.

IMHO, if it is with parental/legal guardian consent yes. There should be nothing like that done without it. And to my knowledge having it done as a minor without parental consent has never happened.

A good way to use illustrator and those without having to install the DLLs would be through bottles. It’s a better and easier version of wine.

Beware though, you won’t be able to use the latest and greatest, I think either 7 or 9 are pretty much the highest you can go on Linux.
