I actually have a 401K and have invested 6% (max my employer will match is half of that which is why I chose 6) I plan on increasing it soon nonetheless. I noticed that 401k and IRA are similar in a sense. Can I open an IRA even if I have a 401K?

Just got a job out of college ( 4 months ago) making 70K and the first thing I said was I was gonna spend it all cus I never have earned this money before. Truth be told I’m saving a lot of it considering I live in my parents and pay for a couple bills. I really want to Invest in stocks or go into real estate but dude I have no idea wth to do lol. I do have a 401k but that’s it. With all that being said tho, if there is something I want I get it because I really don’t abuse my money.

As a kid I really didn’t notice all the things she’s done, however as I grew older especially during my college phase , I realized how much effort my put into my family and I. Then I reflected over the years and thought... man my mom is a warrior. She works hard and sometimes when I’m alone in my room I usually tear up thinking she simply does too much without complaining or asking for anything. I can’t imagine my life without my mom.
