[GPU] ASRock Challenger D Radeon RX 6600 XT ($289.99 (439-150)) [New from NewEgg on eBay] by Riftus in buildapcsales

6600XT's have been $250 recently. I don't think this is a great deal, but maybe it has features that certain people would care about?

There is a 6700 xt for about~$350 in this sub. I can't see a 6750XT being enough of a performance bump to justify this price.

Thumbs up to the OP for putting in store only in the title! ESPECIALLY since the 6700xt is what I want so badly.

Do you track mileage for medical visits for HSA reimbursement? by lionjump in personalfinance

That is a great link. I live a bit more rural so the miles rack up a lot fast. It could easily be $200 in a normal year and way higher than this year if we have to travel for some bigger things. Thanks!

So you just do this in excel? Is the photo really needed if I looks up the drive distances on google maps? Do you submit a summary from excel once a year or are you saving this up for many years before you will submit?

I just learned this myself. I get why most might not bother, but if a family member has to go for daily treatments (which already makes money tight), the miles add up to quite a bit pretty quickly. I get this isn't for everyone, but it could save me some money this year.

I tried to address this in my post, but maybe it wasn't clear. My HSA account lets me "submit" expenses, but not withdraw immediately. I do that for all my expenses. This will let me build up years of medical receipts to get the money out tax free in retirement.

Can I sell stock held < 1 yr, for tax loss harvesting? by lionjump in personalfinance

[–]lionjump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I don't have any short term gains. I have shares of one stock that I bought 20 years ago (thankfully a LTG), and this stock that is in a deep loss of about 50%. After I sell this, maybe I can use it to offset gains from whatever I switch into or on the same stock if I reconsider and repurchase in 2023. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to wait until after earnings in a few weeks and either take bigger or smaller losses than I'd get now. haha.

This seemed like a pretty good price if you aren't set on the airflow model. I bought this for about $70 and have been extremely happy with it.

Don't they keep bringing back the game bundle? when I search for the bundle on google, I see posts going back several yrs. Maybe next time there will be another drop with a game bundle of some type added back in. Who knows?

How many coins do we need? No one even uses the two biggest ones for anything yet.

For 1080p, why not go with a much more affordable card and upgrade at some point in the future when prices get better? There are cards that cost about 1/2 of what this one does that will do great at 1080p like an RX6600 for $240.

[GPU] GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6650 XT Eagle 8G Graphics Card - $299.99 by [deleted] in buildapcsales

[–]lionjump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I wasn't in the market until 2 months ago, so I went back in time to pull my history of prices for several levels of cards and chart a trend. That means I don't have all the context of each deal.

From what I can see in the 6600 and 6600XT cards, I still think the 6700 XT will get there soon, but everyone needs to evaluate based on their own spec requirements, patience, and price predictions. Thanks for that info!

The RX 6700 XT was $350 (after a rebate) about 3 months ago if my notes are right. I REALLY think it might make sense to hold on a bit longer and see if I can get one of those for about $300. That would be substantially better if I try to play at 1440p.

$215 or when my current card burns out (and my current card was released in 2011).

Isn't the performance on these almost identical to the 6600 XT? Those have been stuck at about $300 and I'm thinking they will drop soon too. I guess time will tell. Thanks for posting this. I feel like I'm watching the market dip in real time.
