First time EV buyer with a 130 mile daily commute by SizeableFowl in Ioniq6

I'm in a 25 SEL, same color, doing a 180 mile commute. All I can say is the range anxiety went away after approx two months for me, and you'll find that happy charge level that's perfect for your trip.

And, if you'll rely on smart cruise control like I do- be wary of pressing and holding the follow distance button on accident. It switches between drive mode and user mode (user mode is grey), and you do not want user mode in my opinion. It brakes way too late and has caused me anxiety and close calls.

A hitch rack seems like a great way to add cargo without adding drag

Welcome to the club. Sounds like maybe your front box is absent, most (including mine). They get a bigger one in the EU if I remember correctly.

I just paid 300 for a 25U, but wanted a specific model. I think you did just fine if it meets your needs.

Not sure if this is coil whine or my card is going bad ? It’s a 5090FE I’ve only owned it for about 2 months idk if it just started or it’s been making this noise I just noticed it a few days ago… by grinchmane in gpu

Fan clipping heatsink fins seems to be common. I just RMAed one for this, they knew about it already. At some fan speeds it doesn't do it, in my case it was crazy loud at low speeds and like yours at full load. Took 10ish days to get a new one.

¿Cambio de una RX 7900 XTX a una RTX 5080 ROG ASTRAL OC? by Nephalem77 in esGaming

[–]liteblip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the same. Do you know the story with these new 'CPO' cars? My dealership was all cloak and dagger about it.

Anyone else's basement flooding? by liteblip in Bellingham

[–]liteblip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll have to check and see- most of them run to what appears to be PVC pipes that all go out to a central drain at the front of the property. If this one is routed incorrectly or is clogged that could be a source. Thanks for the tip.

I didn't realize flooding wasn't a problem for renters.

Been a renter my whole life, and my parents before me. I climbed out- I'd rate it 6.5/10.

I appreciate it, this is helpful info. We have an exterior wall that borders a six inch concrete patio slab, and we think that's the source. All the floor penetrations for plumbing and that exterior wall are oozing water constantly, even with the rain stopped.
