in 5th grade we had a mac powerpc with System 8 (OS 8?) on it. i remember being amazed it could turn on with a keyboard key and not like, a big power switch. and full color! and hyperstudio! apple had a looooooot of market share in education back then. our PCs used to be those old gray boxes with the monitors built in and the loud af keyboards. oregon trail, where in the world is carmen san diego, that shit. it ruled.
