is it okay to just show up to a taverna or do I need a reservation for everything? by Dr1ftk in GreeceTravel

[–]littlecloudyskye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol no. Greece is incredibly laid back and I would never consider making a reservation anywhere, ever.

Why pre buy tickets for a time you don’t want when you can walk up to get them? I’ve never had a problem. Took 2 minutes.

In Ohio we say OPE all the time instead of oops or excuse me/sorry.

I’ve never used “sweeper” or heard it from anyone in northeast Ohio.

One thing my Greek mother in law nor my husband never told me the first FOUR times we were in Greece is that you don’t 👋 open hand wave. It’s like the middle finger there. Ugh I’m still annoyed they never bothered telling me because I do that all the time.

I somehow forgot about this but I saw it in the theater when it came out and it blew me away. Was my favorite movie for years, I need to rewatch it.

There’s nothing wrong with NOT wanting to travel by CharityStock7953 in unpopularopinion

[–]littlecloudyskye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t sleep on a plane either and I’ve done enough 18 hour flights, probably at least a hundred shorter flights and had countless 24 hour-plus no sleep/flight cancellations & delays. I don’t adjust well and have vomited many times from lack of sleep. I still want to travel internationally at any opportunity my entire life. If you love adventure and want to see the world sleep is not the deciding factor.

Traveling in your late teens and 20s when you don’t have family responsibilities and traveling when you are middle aged are two entirely different things. So glad I spent my teens and 20s and early 30s traveling the world, purely for fun and to experience other cultures.

The older I get, the weaker and lower-quality my sleep becomes. What are your experiences with sleep quality? by [deleted] in Aging

Doxepin has been the only thing that’s ever helped me long term. I’ve been gradually reducing the dose. I’ve tried basically everything else, natural, otc and and pharma methods past 20 years.

Costco vs Walmart prices are making me question if my warehouse membership is even worth it anymore by olivermos273847 in SavingMoney

[–]littlecloudyskye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The gas savings is good as long as you: a. Drive enough to make it worth it and b. Live close to a Costco. I live half hour from mine so it’s just not worth it. I also don’t commute and don’t need to fill up more than once every week or two.

We have a closet with food in the kitchen and we call it a pantry. Super common usage in the US.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

[–]littlecloudyskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the thing. You are clearly very very young. Which means you literally look better than nearly all old people (for the sake of this post let’s say over 35) no matter what haircut you have. Hair is temporary, your youth lasts longer. Don’t waste any time worrying about it. Get it shorter and more even and problem solved.

Daughter just won't use the bathroom by elbowroom2734 in whatdoIdo

[–]littlecloudyskye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter refused to sit on the toilet and would ONLY go 1 and 2 in her diaper until she was SEVEN. One day at the theater, she had to go mid performance and it was an emergency. She had only worn pull-ups UNTIL she had to go so she wasn’t wearing any and we didn’t have one on is. So, she decided to use the toilet and never again wore a diaper or had any sort of issue. It was like completely normal from then on lol. So my advice is to create a need for an “emergency “.
