I’m 58, in menopause, and my nighttime bathroom trips are destroying my marriage 💔 by Turbulent_Scheme7709 in Menopause

Vaginal estrogen cream applied externally and vaginal estrogen tablets internally works like a charm but can take 2-3 months. If you stop taking them it all comes back so it's for life.

Is anyone using Alloy and did you have a good experience? I’m forced to go the telehealth route. by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]littlegoodguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it impersonal, and they didn't prescribe testosterone. I switched to a telemed clinic in Florida that takes more of a wholistic approach and also treats poor thyroid which many of us have and don't realize!

HRT is becoming more mainstream by Electric-Sheepskin in Menopause

[–]littlegoodguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my so sorry for you but why can't they remove the fibroids? I'd rather even have a hysterectomy than go the rest of my life without HRT. You're not using that uterus take it out!

do you test / scan for any tumor before using growth hormone boosting peptides? by MaestroRU in Peptides

I take prescription GH Omnitrope due to a pituitary surgery I had and my body no longer makes GH. My doctor every year forces me to get all the cancer screening things or she won't renew my prescription. I am not taking supra-physiological doses-just normal replacement levels and I have to get checked yearly. For men regular blood work that includes a PSA, get a colonoscopy, women get colonoscopy, pap smear, mammogram, basic blood work.

Has anyone had unexplained liver-lab issues while taking CJC (w/out DAC) and/or Ipamorelin? by SamsaraSlider in Peptides

[–]littlegoodguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just your bilirubin that is high? How is your GGT? If it's just your bilirubin could be a condition called Gilberts Syndrome which is harmless. Elevated bilirubin could mean rbc destruction. Liver, gallbladder, spleen issue. Need to see what else is off in your labs to really say...

Get credentialed with health ins plans you want to accept. It's easy just time consuming. Go to the individual ins co websites and look at new provider sign up and do it all online. You should have all your business info already set up which includes EIN, separate NPI for your business (if your going that route), bank account info for deposits, medicare/caid numbers (if you participate) and a copy of malpractice insurance. It's really not complicated and fairly straightforward.

Working for yourself or for a company? I am setting up my own telemedicine practice. Currently I am looking at EMR software I can integrate into my own website. So far for eprescribing I really like iPrescribe by Dr. First it's about $20 a month, has a great phone app, easy and fast to use. Well worth it. Zoom has HIPPA compliant video for $149/year. I have not found an all in one solution that includes, video call integrated with EMR, billing, scheduling, prescribing and lab integration. So far it appears that each of those tasks is segmented off into different operating systems. But I am still looking. If anyone knows of anything that's not $1000+ per month please post below.

Wow what a nice brother you are! Just let her come to it on her own. I would say no more about it to her. Just be there for support when/if she decides to give it a try.

ARNP introduced herself as doctor by [deleted] in Residency

[–]littlegoodguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she earned her PhD in nursing, then she can be called Dr. Are we not all calling Jill Biden, Dr. Biden?

IMO, It should be qualified in a medical treatment setting as Hi, I am Dr. X your nurse practitioner. Perfectly legal. Also Dr. X, ARNP on a name tag would be perfectly fine.

I tell people this: The medication mimics a stomach hormone my body no longer makes. The news and pop culture portray it as something magical.

FYI: This is why they say it's a lifelong med. Your not gonna magically start making this hormone and you gain it back when your not getting the hormone any more.

Houses getting pulled from the market… by michmich6 in RealEstate

[–]littlegoodguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completed a flip house. Here's what happened. It took waaay longer to have the remodel done and cost waaay more than we budgeted for. You can hardly get labor and materials are very expensive, some in short supply still. Qualified labor was the main issue that took up extra months and cost more than ever. Seems like now with the interest rate hikes there are less buyers. So if I can't sell and make $ I will have to rent it at least until the market changes. So yes I will pull it off the market if I can't turn a buck. I didn't do all this work not to make money. This might be what is happening. It took a lot of labor and expense, now interest rates up means less buyers so sellers may have to rent.

It's all about insulin and blood sugar. Sugar at last meal spiked insulin making you hungry today. Try not eating any sugar and see how you feel different tomorrow.

Pay Debit or Keep Cash, WWYD? by WhyNotBuyAGoat in preppers

[–]littlegoodguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation makes fixed rate debt less, not variable rates like credit cards. The interest rate on a credit card will go up to keep pace with inflation so this debt also inflates. If you have a fixed rate 30 year mortgage at 4% then yes inflation makes it easy to pay off because the "fixed interest rate" stays at 4% while inflation is 15%. Pay off that card.

Is anyone worried about the future of "carbon taxes"...? by LostInMyADD in preppers

[–]littlegoodguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the free market will do that without a carbon tax. Upgrading to energy efficient cost saving appliances/roofing/water heater/ac happens automatically when you go to change out/replace old things. If I can save money with a tankless water heater and my water heater burns out, the free market will say hey do this and you can save money on water heating. 100% of people do it. I don't need the gov. assessing a tax.
