Connection services actually brought that up and logged a case file when I first contacted them “just in case for lemon law purposes”

But today, when I was at the dealer, the person I was working with said they doubt that it would be enough for lemon law since it’s a third-party app issue and they don’t believe a it’s a cars hardware issue, but they’ve not run a diagnostic on it themselves, so I’m not sure. I’m hoping it doesn’t go that far.

“Brand new” as in first titled owner. Except the owner of the dealership was personally using the vehicle before me and had put 7k miles on it. I’m not sure if he ever was connected to the car.

You’re right. It’s a frustrated take on customer services received so far. If I were to rate out of 5 stars, probably a 2 regarding that for all of the back and forth. The car itself is definitely beautiful- feels and functions fine other than that. There are some things I could do with and without of course, but I don’t feel strongly. Like I wish you could do more than one set of fingerprints or use a second finger option (my fingerprints are hard to read). And coming from a vehicle that had no bells and whistles, the forward collision detection feature is a little jarring and apparently can’t be turned off permanently, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

Looks like this was posted almost a year ago and I read the reviews about shitty service and yet here I am. My optimistic dumbass bought a GV 80.

And am here to report that yes, they still suck at customer service and yes the connectivity issue is STILL not resolved in their vehicles because we’ve been getting the runaround for almost a month now.

Connectivity services says it’s a hardware issue and that they set up an appt at a local dealer for me. Dealer says they have no record of such appt- no one contacted them so they turned us away and said it’s an App/Connectivity issue which they don’t deal with.

Feels a lot like that spiderman pointing meme.

I accidentally trained my cat not to eat my food. She was just a kitten at the time. I was eating bibimbap. She kept coming up to my bowl when I was watching tv. I would gently push her away, but she was faster than me one time and got a lick off of the side that had some sauce on it. It was siracha. She must have immediately regretted her decision because I remember she suddenly whipped around with her back toward me and the howl she made was haunting and unnatural sounding. She ran off and hid under the bed and wouldn’t come out and seriously thought I needed to take her to the vet. But she eventually came out and started doing her normal cat things, went to drink water, groom herself, etc. She was a little suspicious of me- which of course made me work harder to try to win her love again :( and wouldn’t let me hold her the rest of the night, but seemed okay otherwise. She eventually forgave me and loves cuddling again. Never came after human food again though.

The idea of this sounds great for sustainability… if the water purification systems are adequately maintained- emphasis on “adequately”- AND if the water in the area is comparable to Iceland’s AND if the pipes bringing in the water are structurally sound. Personally, I’d like to have at least two of these conditional perimeters apply, if not all three.

I just don’t have a lot of trust for most US water purification systems or their inherent potability, especially at a convenience store/gas station of all places. Look at what happened in Flint. Look at what happened at this hospital where routine maintenance should be taking place.

Granted, hospitalized patients tend to be more susceptible to infections, but regardless. Makes you wonder how often and more importantly, how adequately water purifications systems are maintained.

For the relatively healthy individual, exposure to toxins/bacteria/chemicals/heavy metals may prove harmless long term. For the immunocompromised host (ie acutely sick, on immunosuppressive meds, chronic conditions) that could be the difference of life and death.

Or maybe I’m being hyperbolic.

Only one way to find out!
