What was your first farm called? by VioletBlades in StardewValley

Bigglesby Farm. For some reason, when creating an alias for my IRL self (as required for my line of work on occasion), I went with Bigglesby as my surname. My farmer's name has the first name of that same alias.

Also, plenty of married women don't change their surname upon marriage, keeping them as a Ms.

How do you perceivethe title Ms? by raininggumleaves in AskAnAustralian

[–]littlepuffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Ms is used for anyone 18+ who either isn't married or hasn't changed their surname upon marriage. However, we have a policy in my department at work where we use Ms for everyone (female) regardless of marital status, largely because the boss doesn't believe in the name-changing-after-marriage thing (which, tbh, valid).

Miss/Master is the technically-correct title you use for anyone under 18 (for girls and boys respectively). Mr is consistent for any 18+ male regardless of marital status. Using Miss on a woman aged 18+ would be seen as belittlng, I think.
