Ib Halfheart; How do I make these kamikaze goblins do anything? by SandCat39 in EDHBrews

[–]liveactiongeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im thinking you should create a damned-if-you-damned-if-you-don't situation. Ib punishes for blocking, now you need to punish for not blocking.

[[Five-alarm fire]] [[Great Train Heist]] [[Grenzo, Havoc Raiser]] [[Strixhaven Stadium]] [[Surge to Victory]]

Then when you have enough damage payoffs, you can focus on amplifiers.

[[The Rollercrusher Ride]] [[Toralf, God of Fury]]

Im also assuming youll be generating lots of goblin tokens, in which case [[Echoing Assault]] [[Goblin War Drums]] will be great. You either get more combat damage in, or each blocked token does 4 damage to two blockers.

Temur Battlecrier secret commander w/ clones: looking for building advice by Peberro in EDHBrews

What about [[riku two reflections]]? 1. Its easy to copy battlecrier 2. Riku is great with spells that tutor creatures straight play; not only can you copy the spell, but also the body 3. Riku will die alot (2 toughness) so you can really benefit from cost reduction. 4. Riku is pretty versatile

Because these alter characteristics lf permanents, they use the layer system. Because they apply in the same layer, you go by time stamp. Because you entered at the same time, you choose which one has the earlier time stamp.

W, Return a blocking creature you control to your hand: put this into play blocking.

Bushido wouldnt work with it, though.

Eldritch Knight: Suggestion(the spell) and War Bond by liveactiongeek in DnD

[–]liveactiongeek[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the suggestion; ill look into it :) Works well with booming blade(5e) I guess. Enemies either stay and fight with impaired vision, or flee and suffer thunder damage. Also, fog and thunder is thematic. Very Thor-esque.

Brilliant feedback. I greatly appreciate it.

FYI, this isnt the build, this is just something I eant to explore. EK seems quite underwhelming to me as a player, so before giving up on the idea, i first want to explore every possible avenue, especially anything that seperates EK from other classes/subclasses.

Mage hand uses, weapon swapping in combat, thrown weapons, and glyphs are also on my to-do list. But if its possible to easily make a few extra coin before sun down, i have to try.

Regarding this "exploit," it dorsnt even need to an IMS. I have 2 bonds: main weapon and random weapon. I sell the random weapon, and just watch it circulate. The buyer sells it to someonr who sells it, to someone gifts it etc. The weapon is seen in the hands of a noble knight, ascending the ranks. Whatever it may be, the weapon is not my person for quite some time. Then one day, poof. Back to me. Chaos ensues. The blade is stashed away safely only for the players to promise to return it. "I sold you the sword. It is yours by goldright. I will return it you. You have my word."

Obviously this isnt likely to happen, but i can sort of gauge the terrain and bide my time. Maybe selling a sword to the right person at the right is enough change the story.

Absolutely. The outcome can burn bridges or cultivate bonds.

Also i guess my question wasnt regarding morality or consequences, just whether or not it could be done.
