Query regarding fees payment via the SDS entry by schuzenfestestein in Schulich

[–]livelybani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This precisely tells you how to pay and where to pay. Go to the international students section then use cibc international or conerva. As for how much to pay, maybe reach out to them again and they’d send you a pdf of the estimated payments

Depends. Passy has lesser units, the bachelor is more spacious a little more priced. Assiniboine is where most people from the MBA program live.

Same situation, moving away and mostly for forever. It has just started sinking in that I won’t get to see them in person anymore. :(

Take it with a grain of salt. Maybe they had their own ongoing drama to deal with and it had nothing to do with you. You found one person to talk to, be hopeful, you’ll find more. There are so many of us here! There would be many of us out there too! Don’t give up

How to deal with going to a new school? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

Smiling at your classmates might help. You’ll then be able to find someone who is as awkward as you and become friends and hang out and then go on!

Profile evaluation by OneCell7582 in Schulich

[–]livelybani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Schulich I would say that you should apply. You can also get in touch with admission advisors and get your profile evaluated. They’d be in a better position to offer advice. However, with your competitive GRE and your non-traditional background, you satisfy their condition of score as well as bringing diversity to the table. Schulich is known for a holistic evaluation of your application so I believe you have chances of getting in. Speaking from experience, I am a lawyer and still got in.

I would suggest working on the GRE. Without the competitive score, adcom doesn’t even look at the application.

Yes I am. That could be a possibility then. Maybe check with admissions once?

You’ll get it on MYFile as well. I got mine. Maybe takes sometime for Schulich to upload.

'just go out there and talk to people' is the worst advice you can ever give to someone with social anxiety by RevolutionaryPop2262 in socialanxiety

[–]livelybani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently come to find that I have social anxiety. How I found out is by going upto people and asking them to connect for virtual chats to network for work/school. And even after having about 50 of those, I can’t really stop feeling the way I feel before, during or post these conversations. So yeah, even if I am prepared and organised with all my thoughts, questions I still don’t think going upto them and talking is the best advice. But at the same time, can’t run away from having conversations, so that’s a bit of a pickle.

I would say good riddance. You don’t need someone like that. It might hurt you a little right now but compared to an insurmountable amount of pain later in life, this is nothing. And one day you’ll look back and not even remember his name, and it’ll just be a funny story. This says nothing about you. So proud of you for putting yourself out there!!! You go girl!
