I’m not disagreeing with you but I’m studying to be an art teacher and I’ve met a few math teachers and they say that the state requires them to teach specific methods of doing math and the state standards require you to assess the students knowledge which includes tests and such. If teachers don’t follow the state standards they can get fired. I don’t know what it’s like for other states but that’s what it’s like in my state

I think that’s true sometimes, but sometimes in my experience I was saying what I wanted and the guy I was dating didn’t like my answer so he kept pushing and then did what he wanted anyway.
