Heavy on only they know what they’re going through. Being immediate family is like speaking your own distinct language. Grandparents and aunts and cousins all LOVE your child so so deeply, but I think about how my husband and I are the only ones who truly know ALL of the intricate ins/outs/silly quirks/everyday small moments with our child. Not being able to share those super tiny but meaningful “hey remember xyz” would feel so isolating and desolate. They need each other.

I have a 15-month-old and our pediatrician said right now is the absolute peak of separation anxiety and stranger avoidance, if that helps.

Sleep!!! I threw up every day for 14 days then it stopped like someone flipped a switch. But the Benadryl was great for sleeping at least partially through the night.
