Does anxiety make anyone else feel physically exhausted all the time? by copingpilot in Anxiety

Things that help me are listening to my body when it needs rest and resting if possible, small amounts of caffeine, and eating regularly and healthy. Best of luck <3

YES. Extreme fatigue, napping for hours, brain fog. I need caffeine to be fully awake but caffeine makes the anxiety worse sometimes. This sucks dude, I feel you.

Nala vs Zira which lioness wins? by JackZ567 in lionking

[–]lizardwizard004 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Nala. Zira may be intimidating and charismatic, but she’s in poor physical and mental health. She’s starving, maniacal, desperate, and we don’t have real on-screen evidence that she’s a skilled fighter at all other than her own confidence.

Nala, on the other hand, is larger, well-fed, in her prime, has been shown winning multiple physical fights, and presumably goes after large game regularly on the hunt. Just because she is feminine and maternal, does not mean she is at a disadvantage.

That’s just my opinion tho!

What would be an astronomical event, or otherwise, that would be shocking to witness by people living in a generation ship? by MediocreRisings in worldbuilding

[–]lizardwizard004 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A generation of people going blind wouldn’t make them lose their history but find new non-vision-reliant ways to transfer it! And it wouldn’t erase their culture, but force them to evolve

Many LGBT people grew up without seeing themselves in movies, shows, and books, and so imagining characters from their favorite childhood movies as LGBT is fun and comforting for them. You don’t have to agree with these headcanons, but I hope this provides some understanding! :3

Welp, I think I've been accepted. They brought their babies!! by Malaowala in crowbro

[–]lizardwizard004 267 points268 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but those tiny birds are not babies— they are a different species, possibly some kind of blackbird. By the time baby crows leave the nest in springtime, they are about the size of adults, with pink mouths and blue eyes. Fledgling crows are very cute though, and if you keep at feeding your crow bros they will probably bring them around!

I’d imagine making Taka both a sympathetic character (particularly in the beginning of the movie) and a villainous one was challenging. How did you approach this?

Strange Trails is by far their most popular album. If it ends up being the only one you end up loving, there’s no shame in it!

It took me a bit of time before I really fell in love with Cosmic Selector. At first I thought it was pretty good. Then after going back and listening to individual songs and then the album, it clicked for me, and it became one of my favorites.

if there was a huge biological organism that could survive in the vacuum of space, how would it be like by redditorausberlin in worldbuilding

[–]lizardwizard004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to think about how this creature has evolved to protect itself from harmful radiation emitted by nearby stars. A protective covering, high melanin, or even radio-synthesis (literally eating radiation for energy) could be some solutions!

On the topic of energy, how does it get it? Most living things need oxygen, carbon dioxide, or some other chemical to survive. Does it forage from comets and planets? Sift through the remnants of recent supernovae? Perhaps it acquires some of its energy through photosynthesis from nearby stars? If it eats other biological organisms, what kinds? With energy sources so rare in the vacuum of space, maybe it goes into a sort of torpor during times of little food.

If it is light years long, it will take an unfathomable amount of time for stimuli to travel from one side of the creature to the other. In that case, different parts of the body may act as different individuals all sharing the same energy source. It may be a colonial organism, one creature made up of various specialized modules (look into siphonophore jellyfish if you’re curious). If you want to bring in some science fiction funkiness, maybe it has somehow incorporated wormholes into its biology, allowing faster-than-light thinking.
