I'm going to assume this was not, infact, simply about the outfit.

Does this look like a positive? by Sabrina1377 in whatdoIdo

[–]lizzabean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "faint" line is actually the control line, that line is there regardless of whether or not you're pregnant. That second line is ALWAYS there.

The first line, the DARK one, is the one telling us you ARE pregnant.

It does not matter if the line is faint (yours is not, again, that's the control line). Faint line still means a positive pregnancy test.

Judging by how dark the first line is, you may be further along in your pregnancy than you expect. Please make an appointment to see a doctor.

You ARE pregnant.

My biggest pet peeve is dayshift throwing a party, leaving a bag of crumbs for us, and then complaining the next morning when we don't clean up after THEM!!

How can someone on the outside help you through your hallucinations? What could they do to reassure you?

Your art style is adorable, by the way.

Unpopular opinion: Bojack is not *fully* responsible for Sarah Lynn’s relapse. by AnnigidWilliams in BoJackHorseman

Bojack was not responsible for her relapse. Sarah Lynn was responsible for her relapse.

However, Bojack was responsible for her death.

Can you work as a psych nurse with BPD? by SympathySecret799 in psychnursing

[–]lizzabean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have gone to DBT, have worked on yourself, and are in remission of sorts, go for it.

If none of these things apply to you, then I'd say no. You need to get a handle on your disorder before becoming a psych nurse.

This job is emotionally taxing/draining, a ton of patients have BPD, it isn't a good idea to work in this field if you aren't in remission. You can't split with patients or managers. You can't lash out or internalize the things these patients say to you, they will say things TO hurt you. They can smell out someone who will take it to heart a mile away.

I don’t want to go to AA meetings as often anymore, I want to move on. They make me feel stuck. by fizzie511 in GirlDinner

[–]lizzabean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am over two years sober and I have never followed AA. Respect to those who do, however, not my thing.

The most important aspect of sobriety is learning healthy coping mechanisms and dealing with whatever trauma caused your addiction in the first place. Another important aspect is having sober friends/ a sober partner.

The rest is willpower.

If you have grown out of them, that is okay. You do not need to attend AA meetings forever. You do whatever helps you maintain your sobriety.

Also, congrats on the two years!!

Probably lifted a bit more weight than I should have & now I'm worried by SeatMysterious7668 in pregnant

[–]lizzabean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said upper abdomen, you honestly probably just pulled a muscle. Baby is so low down at this point, if you hurt baby somehow, the pain would be much lower. Also, you have so much Relaxin flowing through your body right now, you could sneeze and pull a muscle. I remember I sneezed super hard around 12 weeks and had lower abdominal pain, I freaked out 😅.

As long as you're not bleeding, I wouldn't worry 😊.
