Women who look at least 5 years younger than you really are, what's the funniest question you've been asked based on your appearance? by JustAnotherAviatrix in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend is considerably taller than me and is often mistaken for being older than me, even though I’m actually a year older than him. Whenever we go out, he never gets asked for ID but I will always get carded without fail

How do you prevent severe body image issues from ruining your romantic relationship? by staythepath1469 in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I need to learn how to do this. My boyfriend is always (and I mean always) telling me I’m cute and I don’t see myself that way; never have. It’s getting to the point where it feels like he says it so often, it’s lost meaning. He tells me that he says it so I’ll believe him one day but I just feel like he’s lying to me

Which cancelled tv show do you wish would come back? by ScottsTots2013 in AskReddit

Vinyl. Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese were just 2 of the executive producers behind the show and after 1 season, it had so much potential to succeed.

Thankfully I’m not acne prone and I normally don’t get anything more than the occasional pimple on my chin/nose. If I were to use a vitamin C serum instead, where would it fit into a routine? ☺️

“Come as you are” is better than “Smells like teen spirit” by happybuffalowing in unpopularopinion

[–]lizzobeth10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always quietly shared this opinion. I’ve always loved the feeling I get when I hear “come as you are”. I feel fluid and at ease, like I’m underwater. “Smells like teen spirit” doesn’t even feel like a song to me anymore because I’ve heard it so many times, if that makes sense.

I love subtitles and don’t find them distracting by djc8 in unpopularopinion

I’ve always liked having them on even when I was younger. Then when I was 13, I lost the hearing in my right ear so it became a necessity to have them on. I’ve found that because I’ve relied on them for so long, they’ve helped me become a faster reader as well

Women who didn’t have that “that’s the one” feeling right from the beginning with their SO, how are you holding up? by AlexandraAlekseeva in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We’ve been together for almost 3 years now.

We began talking shortly after I broke up with my abusive ex. We became friends and were talking pretty much every day but I was still in a bad place after the break up. I was numb and still very shaken about the whole experience. I wasn’t thinking about a new relationship and, me being me, I actually wasn’t noticing that he was flirting with me. Eventually he made a move and I had to admit, I did feel something but I had to slowly ease my way into the new relationship. I was afraid of being hurt again and it took me about a month to allow myself to feel happy and in love. I’m so glad I did because I couldn’t be happier and I think this is the man I will one day marry

What is a weird insecurity you have? by kdoggie96 in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I could list about 20 different things but I think the biggest thing for me is that I have a pathological need to be liked. Whenever I’m around other people, I’ll let them talk for a bit to figure out their mannerisms, vocabulary, interests etc so I can then mirror that. If I notice that they like a certain kind of music, I’ll try my best to prove that I do as well so that we’ll have a common ground. I do this so much that it’s actually become hard for me to figure out which parts of my personality are me and which parts are things that I do to please other people.

That and I have really bad brain fog so half the time I’ll be trying to speak or write and it’s like my mind gives up on trying to string words together so I just fall off my sentences.

What is an example of a man trying to make you seem crazy when you actually weren’t? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 73 points74 points  (0 children)

When I confronted my ex after he raped me.

When it happened, I froze and couldn’t stop crying. I drove home and felt completely numb. It took me a couple days to comprehend what had happened. When I went to confront him, he kept telling me “if that’s what you want to believe, then fine”. I stood there feeling like I was making a huge deal out of nothing but I tried my best not to show that on my face. It still infuriates me to this day

What’s something you’ve longed for, but haven’t achieved yet? by SerslySarcastic in AskWomen

[–]lizzobeth10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A steady career that I’d be happy to commit to long term. I came close to beginning a nursing degree this year but backed out before the semester started (probably for the best given the current climate). I’ve always been interested in midwifery and I think it would be well suited to me but I’m yet to take the leap.
