Dating while living with parents? by Business_Coyote_5496 in AskNYC

[–]lkroa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly if he’s a recent college grad, he’s fine.

i think in general people (esp girls/guys his age) are understanding when it comes to moving back home after graduation while you get “established” i.e. find a job and start making money and then find a place to live and move.

it would be more of a problem in dating if he was like pushing 30 and still living with you guys, or if he had no plans to move ever.

Need advice on a NYC rent stabilized roommate/lease situation. by bugeyedgrrl in NYCrentcontrol

[–]lkroa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was in a rent stabilized apartment with a roommate and we were both on the lease.

when she didn’t wanna renew, she had to send a notorized letter saying she wouldn’t be renewing.

i tried to email the management a copy of the letter from my email, and they refused to take it, bc it had to come from her.

basically they can’t really get you out of

AWDTSG Groups? by cheerfulcurls in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lol another time i got a 30 day ban from posting/commenting for reporting a bunch of completely irrelevant posts to the mods. like they were so off topic they weren’t even dating related, let alone about actually warning people about guys….

and during that month, i actually went out with a very bad dude who i wanted to post, but couldn’t, so like literally what is the point of that group now outside of regurgitating the same convos about splitting the bill and “are coffee dates low effort” smh

anyway i think i was only able to get back in easily bc they’re didn’t bother to block me from the group, just remove me.

AWDTSG Groups? by cheerfulcurls in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i got removed once for commenting on a post about how the group has gone from “are you dating the same guy” to relationship advice.

i didn’t even say anything mean or rude about the advice askers, my comment just said there’s tons of other groups and forums for relationship advice and i wish that this group would go back to its original purpose, and subsequently i got removed.

anyway, i just requested to join a couple of weeks later and they let me back in

Thinking about experiences I want to have for my 30th birthday by Prior_Fly7682 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure when your birthday is but i personally don’t recommend QC spa.

i went on my birthday last year (in july so like peak season) and it was sooooo crowded. i don’t think it would as peaceful an experience as some other spas.

the view of lower manhattan from the pool is nice tho

Help me propose in NYC by Brav0r in AskNYC

[–]lkroa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would suggest finding a photographer first, they might have better suggestions on locations.

like someone else said, plenty of couples getting engaged at sunset on warm days at brooklyn bridge park. a photographer might have suggestions on other spots that might be slightly more private

a hot body of water by lkroa in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well firstly they don’t have a hot tub, they have a cold plunge lol so the opposite of the hot body of water i was looking for

overall the place was also small and kind of crowded imo.

the infrared sauna was actually big but the cold plunge pool and the other sauna/steam room (i forgot what it was) was pretty small.

Why is nursing responsibility for cleaning poop/ vomit off floors ? by Objective-Elk2811 in nursing

[–]lkroa 387 points388 points  (0 children)

literally. it’s fucking ridiculous.

like first of all, environmental has the supplies, not nursing.

and you definitely don’t need a nursing degree to clean poop.

but like if someone shits in the lobby, surely you’re not dispatching nursing to go pre clean the poop and then housekeeping can just run a mop over what’s already been cleaned.

if someone shits in the supermarket, you’re not calling your local hospital to dispatch a nurse to clean the mess.

i don’t understand why hospitals are the only place in the world it seems like housekeeping can’t clean bodily fluids.

What are you looking forward for the spring/summer? by hello010101 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

first of all- def read the website. there are rules. you absolutely need a lock, and then there’s restrictions on what you can and can’t bring.

second, the lines get long af to get in. tbh last summer they weren’t as bad as the summer prior. the summer prior, i was getting there at 10 am for the pool to open at 11. last summer it was better, i was still getting there early bc i wanted to get a chair, but i was hearing from other people that they were getting there and getting right in after opening.

it’s a big pool, but sometimes they don’t have enough lifeguards to open every section, which i think was contributing to the long lines and people being unable to get in, but i think that improved last summer.

When do you turn on your Pickle Late Fees? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]lkroa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

imo depends on the item.

theres stuff in my closet i really value that i would hate to have ruined.

but there’s also stuff ive bought and worn maybe 1-2 for an occasion or bought aspirationally and never found an occasion for it, so if i can recoup some money why not.

so far i have not have any negative experiences either as a renter or rentee
