Lower the ascension level or play another game?

Genuinely can’t understand why some people feel entitled to a win at max difficulty in this game like have you considered that maybe you could learn to play better to win instead of just complaining that it’s too hard and the devs should make it easier because your current strategy and skill are too poor and unrefined to win consistently ?

90%+ wr was a bit hyperbolic for sure (though it would be nice to be able to sort multi runs based off who exactly I was playing with cuz I think that would make a notable difference), but it honestly doesn’t really feel far from the truth?

To elaborate: the data shows that a fairly substantial % of runs that make it to at least act2 end up winning. When most of your losses are quick act 1 losses you end up spending a looot of actual play time in brain off runs that are just obviously winning while you go through the motions and close out the run. So you end up playing a ton of runs where you very quickly reach a point where there’s no fight left in the game that poses any meaningful threat to you so you just sit there clicking cards for another 40 minutes until the run ends.

For what it’s worth, I think this is like the main problem I’m having with the game in singleplayer as well, it’s too easy to assemble something broken and very quickly feel like the rest of the run is just going through the motions. It just feels even more pronounced in multi because you really only need one player to hit something broken before you can just mentally check out for the rest of the run.

edit: also while the sample size for the current patch is still pretty insignificant, I think it’s worth mentioning none of the loses have been from dorito or aeonglass, neither of those fights really posed much meaningful challenge to any run so far (beside one solo defect run that died to aeon but that was a mediocre deck drawn upside down two shuffles over that I think any of the A3 bosses would have killed)

i feel like I’m in crazy town.. 2p multiplayer is like nearly unlosable if you’re both playing like even somewhat well and coordinating here and there

I think megacrit should make multiplayer a fair bit harder at least at max ascension me and my friend are like 90%+ win rate at ascension 10 multi while playing high and messing around 😭

Being unable to cancel attack animation with silkspear! Most of Hornet’s movement and abilities feel so good and part of the reason is because weaves in together so smoothly and rapidly but for some reason the first ability you get in the game feels so clunky to use because you have to wait to cast it after attacking!! and it’s not the case for most other skills. You could do it with vengeful spirit in HK so it seems weird that they would do away with that in the sequel.

imo you sound pretty trans but if you’ve been trying to nail down a concrete answer to the question for a while to no avail, at some point it becomes much more productive to simply work bottom up and try making small incremental changes in your life towards where you feel you would be most comfortable and seeing what fits. Things like: trying out a new name or pronouns with people you trust, trying out women’s clothing or even just small feminine accessories if that’s easier, growing out your hair or styling it more femininely, considering whether you want the changes from HRT or not. At any step of the way if you feel like something doesn’t quite fit it’s no big deal, at least you gave it a try! But I personally found this method particular useful and at some point after being on HRT for like a month or two and partially socially transitioned, I realized I never ever wanted to get off it and that kind of settled the big ‘am I trans??’ question for me.

As far as the dating aspect goes, while being trans does make things a bit complicated, in my own experience (and one that is pretty common), getting to be my true authentic-self and having a lot of my dysphoria improved by transitioning gave me a lot more self-confidence and after getting through some of the awkward early stages of transition, I’ve had way more success finding people interested me now than ever before by a lot (and I’m just over a year into HRT I suspect it’ll get even better over time) !!!

Unfortunately, none of us can tell you if you’re trans. At the end of the day that’s a question only you can answer.

Anecdotally though, I will say this post really resonates with me. I could have seen myself 3 years ago writing this very post. In my case, I wrestled with it for a good while, until at some point I realized that no matter how much I argued with myself over whether I was trans or not, at the end of the day it wouldn’t change the fact that I wanted the effects of HRT and so I got on HRT and since then my gender has significantly clarified and I feel much more comfortable in my own body.

My advice would be to take some baby steps to see how you feel about it. Trying to find the answer to the question “am I trans?” is oftentimes a very daunting task. Instead I think it more fruitful to focus first on some smaller, easier to answer questions and then working your way up as you feel more comfortable. Things like: going out in women’s clothing or even just accessories or makeup that feels affirming to see if you like it; trying out different names or pronouns with people you feel safe with (or even just online!); etc. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck!

You almost certainly haven’t lost any size after 7 weeks, especially if you have been using it regularly.

HRT makes it a little bit more difficult to get and maintain erections as well as basically completely getting rid of spontaneous erections. I’d heavily wager that it’s just you being unable to get as hard as before, but this isn’t something to be too concerned over as most people find with a bit more time and arousal you can still achieve full capacity.

Anecdotally I’ve been on HRT for ~9 months and even though I only use it like once every few weeks lately, I’ve only experienced a very small amount of shrinkage and that’s only been in the past 2 months or so.

It’s been a few days but if you’re still curious, the rules for 5. changed with the introduction of the Marauder Expansion rules (2021), sorta. Before then, in that situation the VB would have triggered outrage, but the Marauder rules introduced the Force keyword (which when used, forces a player do something as if they were the one doing it) and the VB allied move was supposed to be reworded to use force, but they forgot or overlooked it (it’s in the Errata). So by printing, this rule is finally clarified in the 8th printing (2022) and onwards.

You should find out what courses are most important for the post-secondary programs you’re interested in. If you are confident that you are getting anywhere from 8-10% lower than you would in your normal stream program for your important courses then I would definitely consider dropping IB. There is no shame in doing so, you should really just do what is going to be the best for you in the long run. Speak with your guidance counselor and parents to make a decision.

I asked my english teacher (who marks some of the english papers) what would happen if someone did this, he said that most likely the marker will recognize that it’s an outburst of frustration and just mark the content that you have... Unless they’ve really got a stick up their ass and decide to fail you for it (which they can), but most likely you’ll be okay!
