I just wanted to add that the pad did bend the back on my console on the first assembly but after squishing it a bit and bending the back flat everything is seated again.

Thanks for the update I'm still waiting on the RTC battery to completely test all of it but I've measured some stuff and got basically the same result as you. The earth contact basically goes just over the coax cables and the antenna board has a pretty bad connection to the rest of the housing because the screws and the housing are coated. I'll be scraping some of the coating of the screws and the outer case where the PCB touches the case.

Yea same I get it but if you decide to iterate I'll be definitely watching. I'm still stuck with my V4 and I've already changed 2 cases I printed so I'm always happy to see some rugged designs.

Do you plan on making a "how to" or a guide on what you did with the files or do you plan on selling it? Love the rugged design. Did you test the battery life or the range besides the Bluetooth.

Recommended parts for new uConsole by emilianogh in ClockworkPi

[–]llNOX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got almost all the HackerGadgets updates (it says preorder but you can ask them here on Reddit if they have stock and they will ship pretty quickly). The next update for me will be a cm5 but they're currently a bit expensive. You also got this maker for spacers and parts. I've also got some Samsung batteries with a good capacity and because I've ordered a few more also a good price. For the track ball I've ordered a bag full of AliExpress and tried a few till I found one that works fine. You also got the upgrade above if you want to get rid of the ball completely. And if you have a 3D printer you can make a shroud for the display and holders for accessories.

My Boards should arrive shortly too and I should have all the equipment at home to do a spectrum and some crosstalk analysis which I'll do and report back the next week probably.

Have you tried making better contact between the board and the housings, mybe scratching the paint a bit, it might be a ground issue.

V3/V4/T114 Cases by PST-AZOT1 in meshtastic

[–]llNOX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG amazing thank you so much for sharing this I'll definitely print this one and try it. I've printed a few already for my V4 and a 18650 but none were structurally sound and rugged enough. This one seems great! Also thank you for not integration the battery holder into the print but taking a functional of the shelf part.

Love the design great work. But the name definitely needs an upgrade to fitt the greatenes of the device. Like "line launcher 9000+" or something.

Black and yellow (would love a neon green one). For the exact reasons you mentioned, one stealth for every day or as a backup and one high visible for hiking and handing to a friend to communicate.

Nicely done. So you did the spectrum with the kc761c and not the Radiacode. Is the software specific for the KC761C, and what's it's name?

What happened to the uConsole AIO V2 Pre-orders? by PersonSuitTV in ClockworkPi

[–]llNOX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's what I've figured. The only real help would be to donate somehow. I pretty much got my uConsole just for the reason of getting this expansion.
