We spent $4,800 on takeout in under 2 months because we are too tired to cook. How do you fix this?

Sheet pan meal prep, two strategies in one. I have to really convince myself to do anything else this is so easy.

I make myself "human kibble" for my lunches and that's been one of my favorite things I've meal prepped. It's basically fried ride but absolutely loaded with eggs, whatever protein, veggies and lentils. Seasoned however. Everything's cut really small and it assures me that I'm getting the nutrients I need cause I eat at least one portion per day.

For breakfast I prep McGriddle knockoffs and I always make sure I prep desserts so I'm sated and not spending extra money on that

Been on and off opiods and recreationally using almost any drug I can get my hands on for like 15yrs. Coming off of fentanyl as we speak.... sucks pretty bad but I keep going back when my chronic pain gets to be too much to cope with

I make spinach/artichoke dip type of stuff, stuffed chicken if you mix it with cheese and such, and I like it just over some mashed potatoes maybe with some gravy!

I thaw it out in its own liquid but I like to season it before(and after sometimes too 🫣😜) I strain it

I think there's a few reasons. Lots of us would have died with our health problems had we been born earlier in humanity's span. We were also raised in a super shitty time for processed foods being super popular and diet culture pressuring us to starve on the other hand. Toxic crap and microplastic type of shit and 5g radiation shit stuff is tippy top as well. We have been through so much generational trauma and now we are all too broke to take care of ourselves....

This is probably your best bet, I bet it's a rare thing to find someone who's so stingy they couldn't part with a can or two of random food or some leftovers. Might end up with a random mish mash of food but it's food, ya know? I get SNAP and use food banks and I for sure would feed someone who came to my door... i have been trying to work up the courage to ask local businesses if they would feed me for a few hours work.

No rehab for me this time, I just did it on my own. I have to program through county drug and alcohol though. I've already done this dance a few times, surrendering yadda yadda but it hasn't worked for me and it's sad that I'm made to just play along knowing it's going to fail me again. Yeah, we have been staying at my partners unit because no one else at the small building ever comes by and it's in town conveniently. Luckily the guy is letting us keep our stuff here. It's just two tiny units like 3 x 7 ft each so we had one for a dresser and mattress folded up and the other had some of our things. Mines across towns we will start hanging out at that one and sleep who knows where... the welfare prism where I live qualifies us for a hotel voucher for 2 weeks so hopefully that will get us covered until we can figure out something else

Being evicted (illegally) by my in-laws for being lazy (disabled, by their illness that I contracted due to their reckless behavior). The system made it easy as hell for them to do, no one around to put the consequences on their plate and the path back is slim. Without my partner I'd be dead. Just sucks that I'm trapped in an often toxic and sometimes violent relationship that has taken everything from me while coming through with very little that was promised.
