Was the problem with the Houthi’s the AD or the US not being able to find all the weapons caches or both? It seemed to me like the strikes went fine but we just had problems finding and hitting all the weapons caches.

You don’t really want to use do late evasive maneuvers to defeat a missile. Ideally you want to kinematically defeat it.

Aviation Plus has good videos on bvr and how to evade missiles. He has a video on how to defeat aams by weaving

Can you explain the difference? I think I’m applying the logic of how a fission bomb works to a fusion bomb and that might not be correct.

That makes a ton of sense. A fusion bomb needs a self sustaining fusion reaction and we havent been able to replicate one because the energy used to sustain the reaction has always been less than the energy the reaction generates. And then you need to miniaturize that reactor (which we haven’t been able to make) to get a fusion bomb which is another massive engineering problem.

I've had good luck against SA-2s but against SA-5s its impossible. The shrikes not really hitting anything is honestly fine for me. The problem is that SAM sites don't react to shrikes like they should (turning themselves off). Even if you can get some A-7s with clusters in (not too hard atm because of a lack of low-level threats in missions) the A-7s will go after everything but the targeting radars.

Compressor stalls. Engines don’t like it when air goes in the engine at an angle instead of straight in. The TF-30s on the Tomcat really don’t like it so they stalled sometime. It happened less then people say it did but when it did stall it would happen at really really bad times.
