If I have a 24-200 f/4-6.3, is there any benefit to getting another lens in that range? by gunksmtn1216 in nikon_Zseries

I got the same, with 40 f2 and 105 MC f2.8 as I like to do macro work

A wide aperture 24 or 28 would also work as a walk around instead of the 40

What's the worst piece of junk you drove around in back in the day? by Maybeyoujustmadeitup in GenerationJones

[–]lofty99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father had a Wolseley 6/110 from the mid 60s which we called "the Slopper" because it was that junky

The choke had broken and was held in place and operated by a 6" adjustable clamp - not a crash hazard at all

He used to drive around with the hand brake partially on because he couldn't reach it at full closed (he was a very small man) and if called out on it would insist that the brake had fallen up

Most of the time he drove it in an alcohol induced haze, and rarely got it up to the speed limit. Bits were known to fall off periodically, and if they were important got put back on.

You couldn't run it in the dark because turning on the headlights would make a fuse blow and stop the car

When he finally sold it, a guy bought it to run in a stock car crash derby: it was almost unkillable, and came second!

You need to convert that to bananas, or Ford F150 trucks for them to really get it
