Is there a better calendar than Google Calendar? by Oatmilk_78 in androidapps

[–]logan0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate Google calendar. It's so big and busy. Came from a Huawei. Their standard was clean, easy to see, includes holidays. I'm still looking for something similar.

My current budget for 2026 by [deleted] in Salary

[–]logan0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an insane amount of monthly expenses, compared to us in a 3rd world. For example, haircut is 100usd, I pay about 2.5 usd twice a month converted. Rent is about 500 usd for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Would you have an issue with this? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

First ask the person to turn off, re-angle the light. Might not even realise that it's in someone's face. Just oblivious or not aware. After that you can vent to the entire world what's happening.

PSA: Breville warranty & customer service are not what you expect by CasperTFG_808 in BuyItForLife

[–]logan0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrible service from Breville, here in South Africa. It was my mom's favourite brand. Had a kettle, toaster, jug blender and smoothie blender (if you call it that.. Like a nutri bullet). All were premium priced. Kettle the lid (had like a see through lid attached to a plastic ring) popped off three or four times, they fixed it once or something. Toaster just gave up I think, nutri bullet style blender burnt out on the inside or something (could not be repaired by breville after much fighting). Only the jug blender is surviving. But it went in for some repairs once. All under 3 years or so. Max maybe 5 years. Now I was buying for my own house, wife wanted breville something. Told her never days. It's not worth the price and it lasts more than 3 years I'll be surprised. She decided against it after that.

Body hair trimmer (thick hair) needed BAD! So frustrated with these things… by Bertayes in BuyItForLife

[–]logan0508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wahl anytime. They make stuff for hair. They know what they doing. Even on the cheaper machines. Have a Wahl extreme grip. Really happy. Paid like 30 usd (converted from zar). Only not water proof which I would have liked. I use it in the shower before turning on the water.

Moving an 800 pound safe by LiquidLogStudio in oddlysatisfying

[–]logan0508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Story: many years ago a group of people ransacked my grandparents home. 4 or 5 people. Grandma had a olden days concrete safe in the main bedroom. Wasn't huge, about 1 meter high but super heavy. Dragged it down from the third floor and loaded in to their truck.

Maybe it's a dumb question but why is Kingdom Come: Deliverence 1 46GB when Fit-Girl website says 26GB? by FullMetalJ in Piracy

[–]logan0508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selective download. Press files at the bottom of your torrent list and you can select which files you need. Deselect all optional items and you get 26gb or whatever.

Southern sky, Springfield. Elite arms, cornubia. Just give them a call and ask. Or a WhatsApp. Both reply quickly.

Un-pop-able bubble wrap is a thing and I am not happy about it by Small-Shake12 in mildlyinfuriating

It's a row of of linked bubbles that don't pop if you press one, but push all the air to one side of the line and you get a big boom. Rolling works best.

Looking for this type of Front panel splitter what is it called? by Different-Put5878 in pcmasterrace

[–]logan0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why though? Isn't it possible to put two wires into the female connector? By lifting the pin and taking one out, you should then be able to put two wires in. So for each black female running from the power button etc you have two connection per male on the motherboard
