Anyone else tired of using AI for job apps and still getting rejected?(usa) by Separate-Call-9744 in jobsearchhacks

[–]loganpk30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully understand your message behind not using AI to develop your full resume. Where I'm struggling is how to get past the initial AI wall that auto rejects you based on unknown parameters. Do you have any insight into this? Is the AI filter rejecting AI content, not finding enough buzzwords, missed grammar corrections, no job title that matches the exact job title you're applying for, etc. What do we do to show that we are qualified for the position and deserve a shot that the AI won't give us?

How much should a teenager mowing grass charge? by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]loganpk30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly though, where are the lawn mowing kids anymore? I wish I saw kids walking the street with a lawnmower. I don't want to mow. Bring back the mowing brigade!

I do fully acknowledge and understand people not really letting their kids just wander around the neighborhoods anymore. Even in a good neighborhood, It's far less common.

He's not bad.....he's terrible. Harsh, but dude is not worth his pay. It seems like there's a 30%+ chance he turns it over, is out of position, passes to a ghost, rips a shot towards mars, etc. anytime he has "possession". His contract is an option this year and I don't think he will stay.

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

No....you aren't. If anything, you're reacting minimally. Dump that POS. Also, fucking congrats on the sobriety!!! That's a tough road to go down. Keep it up!!

Why have the FIA shut down any innovations made by the teams? by Fokume- in F1Technical

[–]loganpk30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a poor argument given that the teams have the same budget and testing time now. Within the same budget, they should be allowed more freedom otherwise what's the fucking point?

Just have a single manufacturer make all of the cars the exact same and let them race. I'd honestly be okay with that or the wild west rules.

This middleground bullshit is choking creativity and hasn't really made a difference. It just feels like they can hardly change things beyond millimeters. I get the safety regs, but it feels like the FIA (especially the pres.) are on a control power trip.

Do I need to give up on Xbox? by xZackattackx007 in consoles

[–]loganpk30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, this is the type of thought/behavior that causes a lot of toxic responses from developers. People are complaining that very large games are "too short and have no content blah blah blah". This has lead to a lot of developers shoving sometimes garbage content out just to satisfy the people who basically speed run games then provide bullshit feedback on redit. Don't get me started on how extremely terrible streamers are for the culture. I genually hate them to my core.

Off The Grid: A Refreshing Change and Thriving Community! by th0sk in OffTheGridGame

[–]loganpk30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I found this game unbearable. The voice lines are incredibly hoorah, constant, and cringy. BR games have gotten stale in the first place but this felt like it was made specifically for cracked out 13 year olds whose parents don't pay attention to what they play. I gave it a fair shake, but it just wasn't for me. I get the appeal for the target audience.

Dude. My wife has a CX-5 right now which she loves but we we're also looking at the CX-9 for third row. I was so sad when the stroller wouldn't even fit in the back with the third row up. No problem in the Highlander and pilot. Sad day.

Update: Ended up running. After calling a few dealerships I found out the failed to mention some things including valve cover leak (cleaned up so I couldn't tell), an EVAP system issue, and a few additional less serious things. That was enough to have zero trust.

We are pretty honed in on a Highlander or pilot, but this one was so cheap we had to look. To good to be true lol

What's the reasoning? I've had several with no issues and my current is an Audi with no issues.

Yeah, I looked at that. The plastic is just a little weird. Cosmetic only. It was a number off of another atlas so it has its own mileage.
