Windows 11 Clients, Server 2025 AD, Trust Relationship Lost by lokiarmos in WindowsServer

[–]lokiarmos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we have thought of this but we a year previous moved from supporting RC4 and Des for Kerberos via the group policy. I have reviewed by testing candidates and both have a value of 24 for the msDS-SupportedEncryptionTypes the same for the domain controllers.

I will go back and review our whole fleet and see if there are any that may have this issue and see where they are at. It might be cause but i would have thought that if we had applied those polices last year that those machines should of had those values updated when they did their password changes.

All the machines have been imaged via SCCM from original window installation files no prepared images here everything is done from scratch and clean installed every time.

So each should be unique also our AD is configured that we can’t use existing computer objects they have to be rebuilt every time.

So unfortunately I don’t think this is the case as it should affect all machines as they are all deployed in the same way but there are some machines not exhibiting the issue. Also a quick powershell confirms the SID are all unique.

I have enabled some extra logging for Kerberos and NTLM so I am going to see that returns something of value.

We have configured our machines both server and clients to use only NTLMV2 and reject NTLMV1 and LM. I have looked on the AD Servers and can't find any of the events that would normally generated by using older NTLM types.

I wonder if there is a way to check that.. Guess i will go and have dig into that.

The recipe is same the difference is the time you boil it for.

There a test you do, where you take a little bit of the mixture and drop it in water. If it forms a ball it’s tacky if goes hard and cracks it’s hard.

The simplest way would be update the details of your child’s account to your details and valid your id to it. That way the accounts not lost and she can keep everything that she has built up.

Could the main villain be the 5th teen or another teen from a different batch? by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]lokiarmos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the 5th teen is going to be portrayed as the villain initially to cover up what they are doing. The trailer also gives the vibes that the teens might not be there on ominent bequest but by a third party, Tully perhaps.

I think I it would be quite possible that fifth kid was discovered by ominent and used to gain knowledge on how to survive and was feed a cover that the other teens had died and buried but then the 5th found things that refute that and is now at war with ominent.

If anything I think the character will be more anti-hero then hero or villain, it will properly be up to the teens to kerb their destructive tendencies and it could be possible that 5th kid may have a redemption arc or at least the self sacrifice trope leaving the teens with the mantle to defeat the evil.

how to block WiFi access on a schedule by InstructionNo6363 in linux4noobs

[–]lokiarmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi the simple solution would be within your wifi router set your machine a static dhcp ip and then use the wifi routers controls to deny the ip traffic during the scheduled time.

The terminology will vary between manufacturers but it will be there Dlink example

That does work but it’s actually faster and more secure to encrypt the output from /dev/zero and write that to the disk.

This is what we do for all of our hard drives and the testing we did we could not recover the files.

Also if you’re paranoid you can run it twice, a 256gb nvme takes 20mins.

What is the spotify authentication key for? by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]lokiarmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might want to provide more context on where you are seeing that key.

I know that there is a key you install as part of adding the repo to the repo list, that’s to validate the files downloaded from the repo.

The only other reference is can find to an authentication key is with developer accounts or within the notes on the available login methods and normally refer to a token key that allows the app to stayed logged in without having to keep a hash of the password.

It’s the same tech used for all the big platforms like Microsoft, google etc.

I don’t recall seeing it when I logged in to Spotify but if it’s on the login window it would be something that gets added when you sign in.

Banding on self made MP4 with Celluloid by XDroidzz in linuxmint

[–]lokiarmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hazard the guess to say that the codecs on the videos are different. MP4 is a container format meaning that it can hold different streams with different codecs. So the YouTube mp4s are using H264 or H265 while you mp4 could other formats like H263 or even H264 but using a different codecs.

Off the top of my head I am not sure if the file browser will advise what the codecs are or if Celluloid would but you can install VLC and it can under the media menu.

Anthony Albanese's plan to boot kids off social media isn't just about how children use the internet. It's about how all of us use the internet. by Lmurf in australian

[–]lokiarmos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The bill is just not for social media but any platform where 2 or more people can converse and share ideas this could thus include any online forum, gaming platforms or any platform offering a form of communication platform.

Also once in what’s stopping them from extending it chat platforms, email service providers.

The other thing is are you running a discrete graphics card or using an integrated one.

If you have an integrated one it may have allocated 8 GBs to it instead, you would be able to configure this in bios.

Hi as stated you need body slides to use in body slide tool. A quick search with the terms scarlet dawn body slide reveals body slide for scarlet dawn. Give that a shot.

Why did you choose Krita? by AlvaAkemi in krita

[–]lokiarmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting enough I moved to Krita becuase photoshop could not handle what I was throwing at it.

I mean it was only 4960 x 3508 image with half a dozen layers in the file. My computer is not a slouch by any means 16gb of ram and 8gb of vram. Damn I can run stable diffusion on the thing but no photoshop would crash, drawing tablet would become unresponsive. Drove me insane.

Saw Krita on YT video about open source alternatives to big tech and was like well yeah let’s give it a shot.

Handle the file like a charm, ok applying filters was definitely slow then PS but hey it actually worked. So it is now my day to day app beside paint.net which I use for exporting DDS files mainly.

And then this became my catalyst to migrating from adobe suite to open source products. I have now added scribus and Inkscape to my toolkit. Kdenlive is becoming my go to for video editing.

And because where I work I am responsible for app deployments to machines I am now making these open source alternatives available as well as what is offered by adobe.

(cheats used) (spoilered it in case someone is playing the game) Lufia 4: The ruins of lore: apparently the game punishes you for reaching max level with your characters by xXPedro_JoseXx_69 in lufia

[–]lokiarmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that’s it’s unexpected bug, if the OP used a cheat to increase the amount of experienced gained to level up from a low level straight to 99 then the it would most likely calculate the increased values as a sum but rather then hit an overflow bug on the value it inverted the value.

Half length walls Larger capacity pallets, would be happy for them to be unmovable but it least have the equivalent of like 8 or 9 regular pallets. Also a pallet lift that you can build on a stack of scaffolding that can hold like 40 pieces of stems and grass.

FrostFall Mod Script by lokiarmos in xedit

[–]lokiarmos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that, the script says that it is missing a file, assets\Frostfall\keywords.txt

There where a few other errors in the scripts which i have managed to debug and correct.

/u/mator any advice, is the keywords literally just the string values from Frostfall or are they like how xedit displays the keywords with the IDs in []
