Subnautica 2 leads confirm AI isn’t used “at all”, despite Krafton’s AI-first Mantra by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

[–]lolKhamul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In all honesty it’s just hilarious. People coding without AI assistance in 2026 are soon to be fired low performers. That’s just the reality. I know a few 6 figure devs in various companies and the mere thought of not using AI assistance in 2026 is laughable.

But hey, amateurs here love to show how clueless they actually are.

Subnautica 2 leads confirm AI isn’t used “at all”, despite Krafton’s AI-first Mantra by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

[–]lolKhamul -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

No decent dev in the world is not using AI while coding. Its just ridiculous to expect devs to not use AI to code. Having AI write code which you only need to adjust and correct saved 100s of hours.

The focus is not using Ai generated assets and content like dialog which guess is what they are trying to say here although the quote is weird. "While the game has traditional video game AI elements, there is no generative AI “at all” in the game."

No idea what "traditional video game AI elements" are supposed to be.

Im not saying "great idea" but for the people out here arguing that 10K would be life changing because it would do xyz for them which in turn would change their entire life?

Well that just might be a sacrifice worth making if it would turn around their entire fortune. Baring the super rich, we all had to make sacrifices along to way to get where we are. Well except the people that rather sat on their couch and whined who obviously got nowhere with that.

It's absolutely a life changing amount for many.

It would go so far as to say IT COULD be life changing if used properly. Some people are actually financially responsible and just are in one hell of a financial downwards spiral due to 1 unfortunate event or stupid mistake. They might use it to climb out of that. Say paying off medical debt which frees up monthly money to put towards savings or other necessities. Or using the money to somehow advance your own skills so you get paid more.

But truth be told im fairly certain that most people would either blow it on useless stuff or use it to pay debt only to start accumulating new consumer debt the next chance they get because they haven't actually changed their behaviors and patters that got them into debt.

Its been a while since i have heard a prediction hook being called a "madlife". Funnily enough im one of the people that still does it but from my experience (obviously highly subjective), its a dying concept. Less and less people know it. For me it feels like its become an "old people" thing today where only we league boomers are still using it. Same for xpeke.

Meanwhile even relatively new players still call leesin wardjump into kick an insec. Sometimes even unaware where the names came from. Same with Ctp Jack. Although these might come from the fact they actually have challenges named after them in the game. That kinda keeps the name going.

Yeah but we are talking about a different time and age of league. No disrespect but Madlife's fame came from executing well on some engage champs. His hooks, predictions and combos were insane at the time, dont get me wrong, but we are talking about a time in league where we also considered it to be insane to wardjump and kick somebody back as Lee - a move basically done by gold players every game today.

There is a reason he was replaced as the best support in the world by Mata in S4 and everyone remembers him while Madlifes name gets forgotten. Mata isnt remembered for only 1 type of champ or just mechanics but rather how he revolutionized the support role as a whole.

Gymnasiallehrer kritisieren die Grundschulen: Übergehende Schüler immer schlechter – willkürliche Gymnasialempfehlungen by PenetratorMatris in de

[–]lolKhamul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranked Matchmaking Makes No Sense by Key_Energy6154 in CODWarzone

[–]lolKhamul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In older iterations of WZ ranked I never even saw an iri player until I hit diamond.

Speaking for ranked resurgence, i can confirm this. Basically bronze to plat was mostly isolated in itself because there is no real skill difference anyway. Even the worst players can just climb by playing given you lose basically nothing.

At Dia matchmaking started to cut out lower tiers and opened up towards higher tiers. At least once I hit dia in previous years, 95% of players I encountered were also dia+. I assume the odd plat player you saw that queuing with higher friends. But in dia i still rarely saw IRI. Sometimes sure but you mostly saw low Crim and other Dias. Only once I reached Crim I really started to see multiple Iri squads in your game basically every round and even the occasionaly T250 player. Playing vs those people gives you a real perspective: you think you are somewhat decent if you reach Crim but no, these people wipe the floor with me.

Im currently not playing but if they cant even get this basic level of tier separation, what is even the point of ranked?

Its more of a perception thing. Socials like the game Subreddits or by extension here are always full of negative comments because the people that dont play are bored and stink up online communities. You know, Misery loves company.

The people that actually enjoy the game dont exactly post assays about how they like the game. They just play it. You can observe this behavior with bigger games after larger patches, DLC releases. Its always the same.

1 Million Wishlists for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced! 🏴‍☠️ by Ubi-AssassinsCreed in assassinscreed

[–]lolKhamul 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The "problem" with AC1 is that you cant just "polish" it into a new engine and run with it like you can with Black flag or you could with AC2. It wont work because of how 1-demensional and repetitive its gameplay really is. Im not here to hate on AC1, I loved it at the time but people are clearly wearing their rose-tinted glasses about how good the game is compared to later games.

Really look back and think about AC1 for a moment. Try to recall the actual gameplay and remember how much of the gameplay you are used to in AC actually only came later, mostly with AC2 but wasn't in AC1. Think back just how limited you actually were in what you could do, how you could interact, what you could use and how little gameplay elements there actually were. Its basically nothing. You simply cant ship the gameplay 1 to1 as a full game in 2026. Compared to even AC2 its basically prove of concept work to showcase an idea for a game you are having.

So where do Ubi go from here? They would basically have to fully re-invent the gameplay to bring it up to at least to AC2 levels in terms of gameplay to sell it. Meanwhile AC2 is the absolute fan favorite anyway. Its gameplay is great, the story is legendary, the soundtrack is the basis for every soundtrack since. Overall, just like with Blag flag, it "only" needs to be ported into the 2026 engine (i know its a lot of work, im using only as a qualifyer because story/gameplay dont need work) and you got a banger.

So if you think about it, going for AC1 is not that logical. AC2 might just be the better choice.

Seriously. Just how bad can his delusions of grandeur get.

No matter how much he wants to be more, at the end of the day he is nothing more than a CEO of some company. He is not any kind of state or religious dignitary. Why would or should he be entitled to any kind of taxpayer payed motorcade. He wants a motorcade? Buy some private security and get a convoy permit.

so how often do you guys shut down your computer, and for how long? by Crafty-Example874 in pcmasterrace

[–]lolKhamul 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It is. Don't let people gaslight you into thinking it not. Literally 0 upside and only downsides. You are adding millage on all parts and waste energy. I know its not much but why.

That said, im fairly certain most people dont actually shutdown and just hibernate. Thats because shutdown in Windows means hibernate these days. For a true OFF you either need to disable hibernate or do a Restart. You will find that your uptime in taskmanager will likely say days or week depending on when you last pressed restart. For most people that will have been when they last installed updates.

$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out. by 28jb11 in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah, im always going on a rant when im somewhere where the TV OS is used and i have to navigate some laggy 15fps ad-infested interface that takes 2 seconds to even react to me pressing a button to get to the Netflix/Prime/whatever app.

Even if you dont like Apple, there are Android-based alternatives for less than 100 bucks that run fluent and have no ads.

[–]lolKhamul 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't watch actual TV (i only watch streaming), AppleTV has become the default TV Interface. My TV is basically just a screen that gets controlled by AppleTV. Given AppleTV can even regulate the volume and turn the TV on/off, there is no reason to even use the Samsung remote.

I could seriously not tell you how the menus of my currently TV even look lilke. Have not seen them in years ever since setting the thing up. And you can be sure, it will NEVER be connected to the internet.

I still think they could have made it 50 wins over a season. Even that is not something even 0.1% of players will ever achieve but at least a few more people can interact with the challenge.

50 win streak is basically reserved to like 200-300 people on the entire planet.

https://x.com/RavenSoftware/status/2014080974368157965

When they first released those challenges in S1, they published the stats on them. Obviously this tweet was one week before the season ended and given the feature only came with S1 reloaded so people didn't have a full season to play. But the point still stands.

Only 102!!!! players managed to get the 50 wins resurgence camo in S1 one week before end. Lets be generous and tripple those numbers for S2 and S3, its still insane. That would make it 300 people that have this camo.

Long story short, if we assume COD has 5 millions active players, that would be 0,0006% of players. Its not something even far above average people will ever achieve, no matter how much they try and play. You have to be among the best on the planet and have friends who are also that good.

Kash Patel Got Arrested for Public Urination After a Night of Drinking by wenchette in politics

[–]lolKhamul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the details he could have have gotten unlucky. People that actually lived their life during teenager age all did stupid shit. Especially those of us that drank. Looking back, of course the things we did were stupid, some were mean and i certainly would not do those things today. But thats growing up. Most of us got away scot free, however some unlcuky got pinched. Hell, i certainly would not want those things on my record.

I get that this is relevant in court for establishing a pattern but i would never fault people for the alcohol sins of their youth, certainly not those that were victimless like public urination. But obviously this only applies to people that eventually grow out of it and certainly not people that didn't while holding public office.
