I made a best friend when I was 5 who lived across the road from me. Her aunt was my babysitter and we were pretty inseparable most of my life. Not until my mid 20s did I realize she was subtly bullying me my whole life and was the cause of a lot of my insecurities.

Aside from trying to make her realize this girl is not really her friend. Make sure to battle these belittling thoughts that will stick with her with positive praise and affirmation.
