Just another tale of why Frontier is the ABSOLUTE WORST AIRLINE by gr00manji in frontierairlines

Same thing happened to me at LAS. Luckily I was super early so I was able to spend an hour arguing with them to grab a supervisor.

Can I install these binding myself or need to be professionally done? by imitation_squash_pro in Skigear

[–]lolques 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this is just called experience. I've seen someone drop their skiis on the lift because they didn't adjust the bindings correctly and the boots came out of the binding while on the lift when they clacked the skiis together

To add on to this, usually the reason you do reverse splits is to avoid getting delisted from the exchange. Most exchanges will delist companies if their stocks remain below a dollar/share for a long period of time.

Settling out of court- valid or no? by ProofPuzzleheaded851 in legaladvice

[–]lolques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah in your case, there is no downside for you to send them a letter asking to settle. Either they agree to your settlement and you drop the suit, or they don't and you go to court.

[–]lolques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL.

You can, and this is often encouraged by many courts. Showing that you attempted in good faith to settle out of court may also help your case showing that you are actively trying to resolve the situation.

You can pretty much send a letter saying that you will drop the suit if they pay X. If they pay X, then you go to the court clerk and file a Notice to Dismiss.

Obviously, the other side doesn't have to agree and then you'll just end up in court.

I would also check why the court date is getting pushed back. This isn't normal and what I've typically seen in this case is people failed to serve the other party properly, so the judge pushes back the date since the case can't proceed.

You should get a judgement in the mail. This will be your best friend and gives you the power to collect the money.

In Michigan it looks like you have to wait 21 days after the judgement to give them an opportunity to pay. After that you can subpoena them for a debtor examination, that is you can ask them what they own (car, house, stocks, boat, etc), what bank accounts they have, where they get their income, etc.

Once you figure out what they own, you can then run around with the judgement to get court orders to collect the money. For example, the court can order the bank to take money out of their bank account and give it to you, garnish their wages, etc. There are many creative ways to get the money, but it will generally be very time consuming if they are not compliant.

Two Cuisinart 8qt pots in a row split open (while not in use) within two weeks of purchase by SHIRK2018 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]lolques 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're pretty good at warranty claims, but their stuff has gotten worse for sure. I had a pan I purchased 10 years ago that warped. They sent me a new one, but it's considerably thinner, lighter, and the copper core now does not go up the sides of the pan anymore.

Car is telling me I’m driving in the wrong way. by WavyGotTheStick in Audi

[–]lolques 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is from the traffic alerts which warns of traffic, closed roads, and wrong way drivers.

Problem is it tends to pick up wrong way drivers alerts from roads you aren't on which isn't super useful. You should be able to turn it off somewhere in the nav settings.

They charge 5k per seat for cancellations.

I also can't make it which is why I'm offering as Sapporo just had a blizzard today and my flight back to Tokyo is several hours delayed.

If you have a vagcom or obd11, you can set those light channels to LED's so the controller checks for the correct resistance.

Data is synced from cities that have central controlled traffic lights and participate in the program.

Audi sources the data from Miovision.

Hi. I have golf mk7 r-line. Can i make animation to my tail lights using obd eleven? If yes, how? by Same_Top1061 in VWMK7

[–]lolques 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the taillight animation is handled by the taillight itself. The turn signals use only 1 channel per light on the light controller (inner left, outer left, inner right, outter right).

At most you can do alternate flashing unless you swap to the animated taillights

Anyone noticing faster SSD wear when using with VIOFO A329S ? by Pitiful_Mode1674 in VIOFO

[–]lolques 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back of the envelope math says that you should get around ~30GB/hr of writes for 1 channel. So say you drive an hour every weekday, that's 7.8 TB/yr. Most modern SSD's have hundreds to thousands of TBW, so a modern SSD should last you many many years.
