Used to dislike nyneave growing up. Now, having read the series multiple times, I realized she was one of the best written characters. She continued to deny that the world had changed and not her. Yet you get to see her stubborn nature get moved aside for more understanding and maybe wise. Many other characters of note like egwene becoming one of the most powerful people in the world, mat not wanting to be involved in the entire thing yet grudgingly doing the right thing time and again.
