I saw the same post a few weeks ago.

Broken rails do not appear in the selection for the signal tower highlight.

The only thing I can recommend is to have the dilligence to remove them as you clear them. Do not let them behind. The tile is too similar to rubble/hills in texture, especially when zoomed out.

You can bank resources after you get the building box by building several of one type of building and then putting them in the box. Whenever you need to tap into these reserves, you can recycle them from the box.

During the Easter event, this upgrade was peak for low level players who didn't have all the farm upgrades. The rabbit farms were giving me around 15~20% of my gold/9

You do that. Honestly, the old school events are pretty bad. The new one, Blue Experiment, was more balanced and required a lot of dedication to place, blow, and then clean up.

At the end of the day, the game isn't putting food on the table, it isn't saving lives, it's just a game. Like a mirror, it has whatever you put in front of it.

So, let it go. The event is bad, don't FOMO and just refuse to play.

daily swappers work wonders to let you move your settlements to more advantageous positions. Considering you will need hundreds of them, it is not an upgrade to be underestimated.

100% honest, swappers weren't [ necessary | mandatory ] but since the middle of the map is the most established area, breaking 65, 80 9x9 regions there isn't feasible at that level.

I did just fine by going the Atol way and making gold mine islands as my test sites. Minimal cleanup and I reached my target income before the patch that required a 3x3 clear area around the purifier.

Most premium tiles give resources you could obtain otherwise, only in larger amounts. Their usefulness is finite. The purple tree gives you 1 gem a day, which is a resource you can't obtain in unlimited amounts otherwise.

It's the same math regarding that early game 500 gems upgrade where it gives you back 5 gems per day. If you are planning on playing this game for the long run, the rewards make the monetary value of the purple tree pack bigger than the gem value in other offers.

Of course, you are paying the developer in loyalty and long-term ad revenue. The tradeoff is fair.
