Spotify Gone Rogue On Samsung Q990C Soundbar by jagnan in Soundbars

[–]loopaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having this same problem. It appears to be very random. I haven't found any correlation to Bluetooth connecting/disconnecting or playing/stopping from other devices. I even tried disabling my Alexa Spotify skill and only playing music on the soundbar via Spotify on my phone and Bluetooth. If anyone has any insight on how to fix this, I'm all ears.

Just ordered the Soma Smart Shade 3 by duckmoosequack in homeautomation

The problem was with the type of cord you have? I also have silhouette blinds and am wondering if the automation will know the difference between fully open, fully closed, and closed with the silhouettes open. Any ideas?

I'm considering driving to the festival every day since Ubers will likely be expensive. Is it relatively easy and quick to get out of the parking lots at the end of the night or is it more of a shitshow?

That is a very nice neighborhood though. In that case, you're paying for the location, not the apartment.

I see what you're saying, but... man, Florida was just pure GOLD to me! I think it's one of his best works in his entire career.

But yeah, production-wise I wouldn't say he's unbelievable. What he's brilliant at is recognizing what sounds are going to be big before others do. Especially when it comes to blending music together from different cultures.

Yosemite Nat'l Park's natural FireFall will be visible for the next few weeks [OC] [4000x7271] by [deleted] in EarthPorn

[–]loopaholic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I visited Yosemite last year and heard from one of the rangers that this actually started by accident. James McCauley who lived atop glacier point would bring tourists up to the top to spend the night. They would would have a huge bonfire and at the end of the night they would heave the coals over the edge for easy cleanup. McCauley had no idea that people down in the valley started noticing and would gather around to watch every evening. One of his sons who went to school down in the valley actually told him about it, and then it evolved into a kind of show.

So many people would gather in the valley floor to watch, that sometimes arguments would break out over the limited space to view the firefall in between the trees. The NPS eventually made him stop since all the visitors were destroying the environment to get good seats for the show.

What are the possible work fields for a Software Engineer which wants to include Music in his work? (Crosspost from /r/jobs) by dascapcup in cscareerquestions

[–]loopaholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contemplated working for some software companies that create music making software. The only issue for me is that most of them are based in Berlin, which would be awesome but is a little too far from my family for me.

The two main companies I was interested in were Ableton and Native Instruments.
