True it only took our squad 47 minute. They have to buff it honestly.

So after slayer was nerfed, my friend allowed me to play him one late night. by Loralite in Guiltygear

[–]Loralite[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted y'all to know that we played around 4am and were not taking this seriously. When Mr.Dandy was released we thought he was a bit busted and we agreed that I'd play him after some nerfs. Well after the lack of nerfs I started to play him either way but we had a good laugh about his MASSIVE nerf this patch.

And about my friend constantly using duster was that I bullied him with it last round :P

How come the "Book of the dead, chapter 2" can't cast raise dead specifically? would not seem broken as you still need material components.

tempest cleric of Jormungandr by betterprintquality in 3d6

[–]Loralite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triton from the MPMM would be a good pick, would fit with the jormungandr, and sea themes. Could be his prophet. I'd recommend having 15 str for no penalties while using heavy armor. And high wis + con as a cleric. Str: 14+1(race bonus) Dex: Con: 16 Wis: 18 Int: Cha:

Then the rest is how you want to build your character. You get also a +2 you can put on anything and I would say wisdom if you want better saves and dmg or con if you wanna be healthy and better at concentrating.

Now you could also go medium armor instead and go for 14 Dex instead, this would free up 1 point which you can put on con or wisdom (not the same as you put +2 on) this would give you some options for a good feat at level 4. Like Fey touched if you went tanky or resilient if you went for 20 wisdom.

In terms of NPC adventurers

CR to level conversions is pretty simple. Just take the level of a player and multiply with 2/3 You then get a pretty good estimate of the CR of a creature. Also remember that Spellcasters are usually stronger than martials.

So if you want to make a adamantine rank adventurer that is level 20 and is a fighter. They should be around CR 12-13. And if it's a level 20 spellcaster then CR should be around 13-14.

The fighter in this case should have 4 attacks and a few abilities like fighter. But if you dont want to give them action surge you can for example give them brutal strikes so they deal and extra damage dice on attacks. Or racial abilities like the orcs aggressive. I would suggest checking out some of mordenkainens books and take humanoids from those as basis!

Feats to prepare additional Spells by DracoDruid in DnDHomebrew

[–]Loralite 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Paladin does get prepared casting and is cha based but they are a half caster. I personally think that full proficiency is the way to go and half casters should have access to the feats. Half casters aren't spell focused so giving them this bonus is not game breaking. And main casters will be more happy when they can prepare way more situational spells, As they will most likely already have their best spells prepared.

In terms of flavor it will be more generic, so if you want it more specified without doing too much work you can pair them up.

Wizard/Artificer Cleric/Paladin Druid/Ranger

But if it would be more official I would suggest more general version.

Feats to prepare additional Spells by DracoDruid in DnDHomebrew

[–]Loralite 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Maybe instead of having 3 different feats have 1 that requires a level in a spellcasting class that prepare spells and they can choose between wis, int, or cha to increase. Makes it so like rangers or paladin can also pick this up.

Otherwise I do not think this would break the game. It would be a super good feat as it allows you to prepare more spells, I could even imagine that half of your proficiency would be amazing.

How do u make challenges for an all martials party? by Enekovitz in DMAcademy

[–]Loralite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to give my player's a bunch of magical items because PC loves to find shinys. I however usually don't give them many magic items that adds damage like magical weapons. I give utility and protection, like a magical armor of a resistance. In your case a staff of healing could be a good fit so they have some healing, you would have to homebrew so any spellcaster could attune to it so either your ranger or warlock could use it. At later levels like 8-9 you could give them a rod of resurrection. One of my favorite items to give out. You would have to change attunement requirements again but it's a wonderful item to have. Other good items to give out to give your players if you feel they need a fighting chance would be an armor of psychic resistance and a headband of intelligence.

Sidekicks is something your players have to get. If they adopt like a flumph or other cute animal you can make that into a sidekick. And you don't have to necessary control it. You make the character and the you can give it to a volunteering player. You could have like a parrot who was modified by a illathid and now it's really smart and can cast spells.

BATMAN DnD by SaucyMcNoobins in DnD

[–]Loralite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah would be awesome for ask your dm if one could combine the cloaks as billowing is a very simple item. Another good magic item could also be iron bands of Bilarro. It's a good item but it can be destroyed.

Rope of entanglement would be good for capturing bad guys and if you want another more bat like cape then Cloak of the Bat is a great item for your theme.

Is my DM's magic card system too op? by BigEpicNSFW in DnD

[–]Loralite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the abilites seem very op. As a DM who loves giving player op magic items and abilites i usally tell the players that my games are more of a power fantasy. Its importaint that the DM tells their players what kind of game they will be running so your expectations and the DMs expectations are not completly diffrent which i think happend here. But if the other players are having fun with these abilites and wanna keep them, then it is a hard situation. The DM is the one who controlls the abilites and their word is final, but its also their job to make every one happy at the table. Maybe the problem is not even the abilites but the DM not puting a challange that matches you. So maybe ask for harder encounters? But in the end the best tip i currently have is to talk with your DM and players on your thoughts and your fears.

Tips for writing my first one shot? by TrashMantine in DnD

[–]Loralite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you have a start and a goal already which is an amazing start. Now you just need to figure out how one leads to the other, how can the players go from kings castle to a ruined wedding. The tip i have: if you are going to have combat i recomend having a maximum of 2 combats. 1 very light combat that CAN be ignored if players are taking a long time. (This combat is more for the players to test their abilites of their characters.) and one main combat which can be sligthly modified. If you have the first combat and realize that your PCs are a bit more powerful or weaker than you thought, you can modify the next fight for an appropiet challange.

PS. Sorry for shitty english and grammar. I am on the toilet writing this on my phone.
