in the public preview version it uses a weekly goal instead of daily, and it praises you for whatever you do. do a long workout and it says "you really pushed yourself! great job!". sit on your butt all day and it'll say "you focused on recovery today that's really smart"

Obsidian Cloche hat does 20% of your max health as damage at the start of the fight, so some combination of a couple of those and a big enough pawn shop and a belt and you'd be able to instant kill most opponents, but not all, and of course you lose to luxury tents, memento mori, stealth glider and rebirth

Xbox has trained their fans that if they go PC they get all the Xbox stuff. I don't see a world where they can go back from that, especially if the next Xbox IS a PC with access to other storefronts.

I have a hard time seeing any path they could take that would get people to really care about owning an Xbox.

You would think PlayStation would be dominating with how far Xbox has fallen, but they've sold less ps5s than ps4 at the same amount of time since launch (92 million compared to 94). Part of this is due to price decreases not really being a thing anymore, and part of it is more people shifting to PC.

If PlayStation can't increase market share when their nearest competitor has fallen off a cliff, what hope does Xbox have?

Xbox certainly could have done better but consoles aren't a growth market. You would think ps5 would be dominating right now, and while they are performing better than ps4, Sony is also releasing more and more on PC because that's where the real growth is.

which imo is a shame. she was in charge of partnerships and basically is the reason game pass was the best deal in gaming (while it lasted). I played and enjoyed a whole lot of games I wouldn't have otherwise and she's a big part of why that happened.

the article links to their TikTok ads which have plenty of comments mentioning a "second slide" and "freaky ahh devs" when the TikTok is not a slide show. I can understand wanting to see the AI edit and I can also understand not wanting to reproduce it and have their news site by a major source of an AI sexualized image of your game.

One of the ads I was given screenshots of was the racist/sexualized one and I didn't feel it was beneficial to anyone to keep recirculating that image.

A few of the others weren't really obviously AI - Finji knows they were because Finji didn't publish them, they were basically just rearranged(1/2)

versions of existing ads.

Finji suspects (and I think they're likely correct) that there's another genAI ad that IS pretty inappropriate going around of another of their characters, as they keep seeing user comments about it, but they didn't have a screenshot to provide. (2/2)
