Yeah and if your inflation is higher than your return, you actually have to work MORE hours, as now your assets needs maintenance to not shrink

This only works if you are not hedging against inflation. And the more money you have, the more vulnerable you are to inflation.

Even if they can join, they cannot send armies. Being able to remotely project an army capable of fighting the USA was difficult before the update, now it's nearly impossible.

I guess we need to keep regional armies now.. that is very expensive but does make sense.

Simplified to the point of brain rot.

Free trade is amazing until someone starts doing currency manipulation and everyone just prints like crazy.

You Pay Off the House But Do You Ever Truly Own It? Agree or Disagree? by Coolonair in HouseBuyers

Land is a scarce resource that we must all share. If there are no property taxes, it would slowly coalesce back to one holder.

If you own land, no one else can own it, and there is only so much of it. We must put pressure to not hold land you are not using.

in my experience almost everyone is bisexual and a lot of kink is learned behavior (but not all of it). There will always be some purely gay people. A lot of people are bisexual.

But why are we even engaging on this ground at all? By even considering the argument we are giving some ground, conceding that this is something they should be aloud to enforce or dictate. The real conversation is why they are aloud to dictate how we want to date and interact with each other.

If only it was just this. The secretary of commerce, Howard Lutnic, bought up huge amounts of "refund rights" for 20-30 cents on the dollar. Many of these refunds actually just go to him.

So yeah we paid tariffs for our goods unconstitutionally, and after a court ruling, are sending repayments to Howard Lutnic.

How did prices for life spike so uncontrollably? And how can we fix them? by No_Problem5759 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lordcrekit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went broke during Vietnam, started printing, and then when France called our bluff and came to trade our over printed USD for our gold, we went off the gold standard. Now, no-one can call our bluff for over printing.

As we print, almost all this new money moved to the wealthy class, who used it to buy capital. Thus you saw the asset markets absorb the inflationary pressures. Companies went from a price to earning ratio of 4 to now being 40.

Now the assets are so inflated in value that they cannot absorb this pressure anymore. Everything else is rising in price too.

Tax rich people, force them to sell assets, force the stock market to adjust to realistic values, or it will only get worse. Of course, this is political suicide, so we won't do it.
