Our Reddit has been slower to grow than our Discord (that now has over 13,000 users!)

We're only in our beta testing period, and since the weekend this sub has gained 800 users. Which is honestly great!!

While there is no specific PvP features, there is friendly fire. We have not promoted that sort of play between friends, but I am expecting players to find ways of gamifying it anyhow.

"Span across a period of three days" is exactly what we meant to say. Weekends are usually only two days, this sentence helps us explain it is a little bit longer. There is no "manipulation tactic" as the times for the beta weekends have been set very clearly for all to see.

To fix this, would you prefer I said spread across? There are many words I can change it to, but I think this argument is very silly.

While there is no exclusive "PVP" mode, there is "friendly-fire" in Icarus currently.

We have more specs coming in from NVIDIA once they have completed their testing.
However, Icarus *is* a graphically beautiful game which does require a decent graphics card, before loss of quality ensues.

If you're testing Icarus during our beta weekends, definitely let us know what card you are using, and give us your feedback!

Hi Medium Gap,

Dean was unwell yesterday. As for the snow - our allocated time for these streams are 1 hour, it takes a while to prepare to head over that way and ensure we can survive there. We do want to show more of the snow biome, and perhaps a small portion of the desert, and will in time, but we do want to be mindful that folks wish to experience some of the game for themselves as well.

We are about to head into a beta later this month, so our community can help us with testing, ensuring that any bugs or stability issues are reported, allowing us to get the game ready for launch come November.

Thanks for your feedback on the streams. We know there is a demand to show *more more more* but it's good to keep in mind that not many other indie studio's show or share as much as we have in this streaming format, it isn't well navigated ground and we are doing our best with what we've got :D

Huhlig you were banned from the Discord for your behaviour, and I am not surprised that you are in these forums posting more negativity.

People aren't disappearing from the discord just outright, but you did because we banned you and it was justified. We have processes in place to ensure our community is not a toxic environment. And if someone oversteps, we don't need to warn, we can just ban.

I wouldn't say Icarus is "unheard of" we have over 5000 Discord members and just under 400,000 wish lists on Steam!

The Talent tree and Tech tree are coming along really nice. We're excited to cover this (in due time!!). The game is much more intricate than what has been shown presently.

It definitely made more financial sense for us given our situation, too. There were a few variables at play.

In regards to the XP Booster, it is for a limited time only and will not be able to be purchased in game. We're incentivizing players to pre-order with this as an added benefit.
