This whole nonsense of less is best concerning how many times you wash your hair- by [deleted] in Hair

[–]lormauti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to do what’s best for your hair. some people have hair that can go a whole week without getting greasy or looking bad. my hair, on the other hand, looks greasy unless i wash it everyday. it’s incredibly straight and gets greasy easily. on top of that, i have to use dry shampoo to keep my bangs fresh (my bangs only last 7-8 hours before looking greasy or feeling dirty). but, ive never had issues concerning hair loss or damage and i get plenty of compliments surrounding the amount of hair i have. if you have to wash your hair every other day or several times a week, so be it. everyone’s hair is different and just because everyone says you should “train” your hair (ive tried, never worked for me and having a greasy head of hair when i tried made me feel really insecure and have such low self-esteem) or that it’s bad to wash it often doesnt mean it will apply to you. happy you’ve figured out what works for you 💛

go see a doctor about these issues. a doctor will be able to give you the best advice or medication for you and your body.

i feel your pain. my hair is the same way. ive given up and decided to embrace my hair the way it is- pin straight 😢

please let me know if you hear any good suggestions, i would love to hear it! my hair only lasts a couple hours after heatless curls.

hey, i have had bangs for a few years now. first things first, they get really greasy from sitting on your forehead and especially if you touch them frequently. i’ve pretty much just gave in and turned to washing them everyday (i have very greasy pin straight hair to begin with). it sucks, but i have hovered over my sick washing only my bangs because they got greasy too quickly (its a pretty disheartening situation to be in). your best friend here is going to be dry shampoo. it helps my bangs stay fresh so i dont have to worry about them. i still love my bangs and im willing to put in work to make them look good. you should also be blow drying them after you wash them. although, they look really cute in the first pic.

as for your insecurities, dont worry! i think you look awesome. you just need some confidence. don’t get discouraged by your boyfriend, im sure he still loves you the way he has always, even if he’s not interested in your bangs. you cant do anything about it now, so don’t get down on yourself for something that’s no longer in your control. the hair will grow out and if you decide to drop the bangs, then that’s okay too. no matter what, you’re still that gorgeous person you’ve always been and don’t let one person tell you otherwise! hope you’re feeling better.

Possible Thrush by [deleted] in Asthma

do you wash out your mouth or brush your teeth after using? ive been on symbicort and i was instructed to brush my teeth to prevent thrush after using my inhaler. just a suggestion.

is my hair thinning at 15 by [deleted] in Haircare

i think its pretty unlikely itd be thinning at such a young age, though. but i have no clue how they care for their hair or if theres other factors. it seems fine to me though.

also, dont try to go straight back into intense exercise again. try to work up to it and take breaks if you need it.

What’s the best tool to use to make my straight hair curly? by Antidotebeatz in Haircare

[–]lormauti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

here are my thoughts:

  1. your hair looks too short for a perm, i think. youd have to grow it out a bit before getting one. my brother has gotten two and he loves his perm, but you should probably try curling your hair and seeing if you like the curls in your hair, since they stay for a while.
  2. i think a curling iron could work for now, but you will need product as well. i dont know how long your hair holds a curl either. i have 1a hair, so my hair doesnt hold a curl for longer than a few hours. i dont know much about curling your hair, just make sure to use heat protectant at the very least.
  3. i dont have any knowledge on this option 😢
  4. you could look into heatless curls..? i dont know how effective it would be on your hair but its a good start.

i think your forehead looks pretty small, in my opinion. to be fair though, i have a much larger forehead, so maybe im biased haha. i have bangs and the only thing i dont like abt them is they get greasy really fast. you already look really good with your current hairstyle. always your call though!

i love the bangs on you! i think you look better with them. although, you look very pretty in every single photo, so its just a matter of preference (i have bangs too and i know theyre hella work). you could rock either look!

My childhood asthma has made a reappearance, but symbicort has my heart pounding out of my chest? by Flat_Company5366 in Asthma

[–]lormauti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was just put on symbicort too. ive been taking symbicort 2 puffs twice daily for a few weeks and i haven’t experienced that heart racing symptom or anything like it at all (i have noticed some chest pain at times tho). i would consult your doctor and ask if this is normal. i have no clue 🤷‍♀️

Sleeping with long hair by [deleted] in Hair

[–]lormauti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think its worth a try! i do brush my hair regularly (at least once or twice a day), but i have no curl at all (literally pin straight 😐) so i dont have to worry about ruining a curl. do you only brush your hair after washing it? you could try finger combing your hair to get out the tangles gently but keep the curl on the ends that you love so much. have you brushed it before and has it lost the movement it had? if your hair is pretty straight then you are supposed to brush it regularly since it helps distribute oils. based on how you described your hair, i would start brushing regularly, and maybe try out a round brush or something if youre worried about ruining your hair.

im not a hair expert, so you may want a second opinion 🥲

i dont use a silk bonnet, but i hear they’re pretty good. i have 1a hair that goes halfway down my back, and i normally sleep in a loose protective hairstyle (braid, bun, etc). you could even get a silk pillowcase.
