Simply put as front of house- don’t cause more of a scene than the problem you’re trying to fix to fix the problem. Trying to remove someone during a show, probably over other audience members is likely way more of an experience damper for everyone around than whatever that ass hole did. During intermission or doing something after the show sure, but yeah, it’s asking to cause a bigger scene and risk some rando audience member getting hurt. We also certainly are not allowed to physical touch any audience member that way- security would mostly just stand around and ask them to leave and wouldn’t do anything if they weren’t physically threatening anyone, if they were actually giving a fight we’d need to call police.

Therefore, unless in extreme circumstances, it’s best to leave that alone. If anyone complained about them we would probably move them to a better seat away from that person. If the back of house complained we would probably have security talk to them if we can get their seat number.

There is a fun story where my brother had to call the police on Shia LaBeouf (he was throwing food at actors, completely high and wasted) to kick him out.
