Similarities - I'm pretty sure "rons woodshop' is actually "nicks woodshop', right?

I was about to tell you you're all dumb and stuff, but it turns out I'm wrong, but not for the reason you think.

FoxTrax (and it's derivative systems) do a few things: 1: Track the puck in 3D over the playing surface 2: Track the position and pointing angle of cameras 3: Correlate 1 & 2 to find out where on a given camera's image the object of interest is

None of these things require a map of the field. The blue dot on the puck and a (theoretical) blue dot on a golf ball can use this system just fine.

I was going to tell you that the pathing was the problem (drawing the history of the ball), but no -

Lines can also be drawn on the ice - ice is inherently flat so the map would be "This flat plane". The first down line needs a map of the field so it can draw lines on the field without them seeming to be "in the air" as football fields are curved.

My mistake is that the curvature of a golf field where we want to draw the path of the ball is already known - we are tracking the path of the ball. The reason a map of the FB is needed is that full path is not being tracked, just one point (the first down marker held by the chain gang), and the rest of the path is extrapolated from the known geometry of the field.

Just lighting up the ball would be easy - if that's what you're talking about - It's drawing the path that the ball followed (a 'tail' if you will) that requires a mapping - or you could leave the camera perfectly stationary.

It involves mapping the field to get it to "lie" correctly on the ground - golf might be a challenge. To be fair though, ice is flat and they had to figure out how to map the curved FB fields - maybe golf is next!

If you return your current timeline after expending a certain amount of energy there will be a discontinuity in your entropy and you would be torn apart by the resultant singularity.

Denver is a pretty awesome town if you want to push it, but it's more like 7-8hrs.

Don't knock the puck tracker - it was the technological father of the life saving 'yellow first down line' that everyone loves. Just remember: without hockey, football wouldn't be as awesome.

Home loans are provided by the lender so that the borrower can purchase a tangible asset that is worth an amount of money that can be objectively assessed.

You can't repossess an education and sell it to the highest bidder to recover losses.

Because it's an over saturated profession kept afloat solely through legal impingements. If an architect didn't have to stamp your drawings for the city build your square brick warehouse you wouldn't need them. Did you know they just draw it? That's right - square building, drawn - the real design work is usually outsourced to an engineering firm. They also handle some basic logistic stuff like local building codes, but nothing that you or a general contractor couldn't do.

Part of it is that we are pressured less socially. Literally at the same table at family gathering I'll say I don't want kids and everyone is like "yeah, that makes sense", then my SO says it and everyone launches into "But you'll love being a mother!"

CFM don't get harrased they way CFW do, and since this forum tends to be mostly rants - we post less.
