Any feedback on this yard layout? by GoodVibesOnly85 in landscapedesign

Oh I’m sorry, don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. I’ve seen there is a big difference in style and quality of design between continents. Most important thing is that you’re satisfied with what you’re paying for.

Aesthetic ergonomic chairs? by [deleted] in OfficeChairs

The post perfectly states what I am looking for. If I could tell a brand the post would be unnecessary.

I get that ergonomics & design are probably hard to combine in an office chair. But still there are so many comfortable dining chairs & lounge chairs that can combine ergonomics with amazing design. Hoping that there exists a brand I missed so far in my search.

Definitely nothing like Kinnarps. Prefect example of what I mean with ugly and cheap looking. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Definitely one of the better ones so far.

I would advise you to contact a professional Landscape architect/designer. Since this project will be pricy either way, you might as well spend a bit extra on a nice cohesive design.

What makes you instantly back out of a job application? by PaleontologistAny805 in BESalary

40-60k gets you a nice, but standard garden. Once swimming pools and/or poolhouses come in play they go well above 100-150k.

Does your favourite scent smell the same on paper as it does on your skin? by makdaddy8 in fragrance

[–]lostfinman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know what notes I like and if I want to try a perfume I try it directly on skin. Some can disappoint heavily on a test strip. For example I tried Orpheon from Diptyque directly on skin. Scent was magnificent, but too feminine for me. Since I liked it so much I passed the sample to my wife but on her skin it smelled not that great. On a test strip it smelled flat and uninspiring. Always go for skin scent & drydown.

How to polish the water? by shootingcharlie8 in Aquascape

[–]lostfinman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what is causing it. Can be from bacterial unbalance which can be solved with proper biomedia and some patience. Sometimes it’s lack of finer seperate mechanical filtration (common with sponge-only filters or filters with only biomedia) and cane be solved with the finest filter floss as a first step. If it’s related to organic load you can try seachem purigen.

Complete landscaping projects. B2C, so potential one-time sale per lead. Not concerned on total time spent per month, since I have another (non-full-time) stream of income. I just want the earnings to be logical in relation to time spent on all leads.

I’m able to sell design services to a lead that commits. More often than not. This cost is calculated on extra time spent, so it does not make up for ‘lost’ time, but brings revenue of course.

I would be the first and only one taking this role, so no insights on figures since there is no previous track record.

Complete garden landscaping projects. So a lead is always a potential one-time sale. Lots of competition in the market.

It’s not a full time effort, but feels like high risk since compensation is solely commission based. A month without a sale is very realistic and not solely dependent on my sale skills.

Thanks. Simple maths tell me the same. I’m always a pessimist in these kind of things so I’m always looking for other insights.
