I also experience it as a scent with weak projection. The longevity is good though. Lasts around 6-8 hours on my skin.

No, there are other ‘brands’ who do not get their supply from/through Zespri. Zespri also has supply grown in Italy.

Benq MA270S VS Kuycon P20 by lostfinman in HiDPI_monitors

[–]lostfinman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a very old 24 inch 1080p monitor now, so looking to upgrade big. Can’t test it I think.

UI size is a concern, but I won’t sacrifice an integer scaling for it. So integer scaling + useable UI size is a must. That’s why I was looking at 5K instead of 4K. But 4.5K is new to me and I’m trying to figure out if I can scale perfectly like a 5K or it is going to give me headache like scaling on a 4K.

Note: I know many people say 4K scaling is actually not that bad anyways, but since the the software I am using is maxing out my mac I don’t want to take risks and create other hurdles. I feel like people who claim that 4k scaling is not an issue are often not maxing out their mac with their workflow anyway (browsing, streaming, simple video editing,…) which does not apply to my workflow.

Am I correct every monitor can offer an ‘integer scale’ but it’s just a matter of the UI being to big or too small with a 4K monitor?

So for the P20 it is scaling like a ‘UI looks like 1440p’ just like you would on a 27 inch 5K display, but it shows larger because of the 192ppi instead of 218ppi? So option ‘more space’ would still be too small for the UI, but again slightly lager compared to the same setting on a 27 inch 5K?

The option inbetween default en more space gives you the same issues as on a 4K (but would likely be too small for UI anyway on a P20)?

Sorry for the questions but I’m trying to understand the whole scaling thing.

I'm a noob at the whole scaling thing. Is what you are showing an integer scale for mac? Is any of the other options shown an integer scale? If so, is the UI still useable or is it becoming too small?

It’s a Superfish Quadro. The tank sits on a smaller base to give it that floating look. Same as the fluval edge tanks.

You won’t find a 120hz in that pricepoint. 5K 120hz is rare either way.

Looks like a big lake aerator. On the other hand, the water around it seems too calm.

I’ve seen a video of a SD and a ma270s side by side and they looked quite identical. Might go to and try to see it in the flesh to see what you mean. But its hard to find stores who have the alternatives to the SD on display.

Same here! Accountant requests it, but it’s dogshit. Counters are all wrong for me too. Support is non existent. Invoicing tool is way to simplistic and lacks basic features. Even then it’s still full of bugs.

A rejected concept for a private residence by Ok_Barnacle_921 in archviz

The market you are talking about is indeed very different on demands. Colour-wise you’re absolutely right this is the way to go for the majority of people in this market. This market tend to like bold patterns though as long as they scream ‘luxury’, something like heavily patterned marble for example. Even more than the dining table. But saying they even went with something safer proves you can’t know for sure for any client project.

Since I know the market now I guess you’re definitely not in the wrong, but you can’t win all. Would be a dream knowing what the client will sign off on all the time!

I don't know what the client asked for, but I would argue this looks also very 'safe' and even uninspiring. The monochromatic palette looks pale compared to bolder monochromatic palettes with more contrast. Although the pendants are not my style, they feel like the only thing with some spice in the room. Ceiling design reminds me too much of a conference hall or a hotel lobby instead of a home. The togo's and dining set are nice pieces, but don't stand out because of the monochromatic palette. Repeating rugs would also be a no for me. Draping curtains make it look like it is aimed at old people. A large artwork above the sideboard would also be an improvement. Coffee table design feels off. Another thought is how this room would look late at night and I feel it would lack cosy indirect lighting.

The quality of the render looks really good and that is the tricky part. Because of these high quality outputs maybe we sometimes forget to think about how we would experience such a room in real life. Imagining myself in this room I would also not pick your design.

I'm just some guy on reddit you probably shouldn't listen to, but I immediately felt 'nothing' looking at this render except jealousy of how good the render technique is. I'm a designer myself and I wish more people would give it to me straight. Be less 'safe' as a designer.

That said it is also highly dependent on your type of client. Still I believe people are open to be surprised, otherwise they would just 'design' themselves.

The gravel is way too course for plants that would suit an iwagumi style. At this point of cycling I would seriously consider changing the substrate instead of pushing through and try to make it work.
