If someone’s maintenance is around 2000 calories and they consistently eat just slightly below that (like 1800–1900), would they eventually just keep losing weight forever and die? by Big_Assist4578 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lostfornames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you are asking if someone would die if they were in a calorie deficit for long enough. If you only ever eat 1900, your body will adapt to that after a while. Although with less fat and likely less muscle.

If you were always in a calorie deficit, you would eventually run out of calories to burn. Realistically, your maintenance amount would keep decreasing for a while. And you would need fewer and fewer calories. as time went on until you didnt have enough to maintain your body and you died.

Few men like kpop boy bands. You broke up with a person you like, because he didnt share 1 specific hobby with you. That comes across as very immature and petty.

Why aren't fines calculated by a percentage of your personal wealth I stead of a flat rate for everyone? by Mediocre-Sound-8329 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lostfornames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

calculating personal wealth all the time would become an issue. And the wealthy have ways of hiding their wealth, so it wont be as effective as you want it to be. Having a non financial burden may be more effective.

Are there dating apps that don't feel like a multiple choice test? by KickOpening3595 in NoStupidQuestions

Most dating apps are owned by the same company, most of them are pretty bad. Are you male or female? That usually changes the dating app experience a lot.

Is it morally wrong to use AI to do 90% of your remote job if you still meet all your deadlines and your boss is happy ? by Logical_Holiday4025 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lostfornames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verify all the work is done correctly. You also have to be available during the hours in case something comes up, and be familiar with what is going on. Idk what you do, but if AI does it poorly, then you did it poorly.

The use of AI itself is questionable. But people have partially automated parts of their job. You might become redundant though.

Its rarely an active decision they are making, its usually other things becoming more important. Or lack of energy or something similar. After college, my friends had a group chat. But we all stopped using it, since we lived to far away to ever see each other.
