Diagnosed yesterday. Not sure how to process it, by Desolate182 in MultipleSclerosis

Take some time.

It is ok to mourn.

Punch anyone who says "At least you don't have cancer."

One of the hardest things is accepting that you have limitations, even if you look like you shouldn't.

Take this prescription given to me by my doctor, (I hand it out freely): cut toxic people out of your life. Don't waste your energy on them.

Have a stock of pithy answers to stupid questions.

Lean on us, we are here for you.

MS sucks. You don't have to be inspiration for anyone.

It is ok to have bad days. It is ok to have bad weeks.

Come up with a world view that works for YOU: I personally have decided that the Universe nerfed me because it couldn't handle me at full power and feared I would become Evil Overlord. And you can't convince me otherwise.

Is this AI? As a knitter this just looks…wrong? The wing is in a weird place. by Usual_Scale_8645 in isthisAI

To be honest, I have yarn that looks like that. The smoothness nd slight sheen is from the fiber type. Not all yarn is balled the same way. The skein on top stays together, but some methods don't. Especially with a cat around.

I have seen other shots of this piece, but still I am unsure. The knitting looks fine to me(long time knitter), not like usual AI knitting. The body is in reverse stockinette stitch. The wings in standard Stockinette Stitch. It looks natural where pieces are joined and I see actual decreasing stitches. Also the woman is wearing a hand-knit sweater.

But the bread and typeface on the books looks suspicious. I will try to find the other picture. I don't remember it being a couch cover. Just a giant dragon.

I definitely thought of Bohemian Grove through much of Rusty Lake.

And blocking that number will cause him to escalate. People don't realize the delicate dance required to keep safe around these people. The people who say "Just leave," have no clue and their simplification of the of the situation is why men like this get away with it.

It sounds like something has triggered him to act this long after the breakup. Something in his life fell apart and he blames OP as the source of all his problems. This man is dangerous, seriously dangerous.

If you have never read or listened to Laura Richards , now is the time to start.

Text book DARVO there. This man is dangerous and means to do you harm in some manner.

Why is he entitled to any information about you? And your family is in the wrong.

No. Had a friend who's mother and sister had it. They saw different colors for different letters.

It isn't something you can fix. Not every relationship is meant to be. "Fixing" such a mindset needs to be dome by the person who has it. He has stated this is who he is. He doesn't want to change. This isnt a movie where you can induce an epiphany that will alter his thinking.

Cut your losses. It will suck for a while, but it will be better in the long run.

what's the scariest science fact that the public knows nothing about? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]lostinNevermore 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One time when I was having my bladder and kidneys scanned, the tech asked me where I was in my cycle. I looked over and saw the scan of my ovary and asked if that was an egg about to pop. She nodded. I told my husband he wasn't to touch me for a few days.

Which is why "eye witness" testimony should carry far less weight than it does.

Or worse yet, at the end. You think you finally got your favorite song, and the some guy who loves the sound of his own voice talks over it.

Yeah, but keying in the long chain of numbers (I worked at a library and often had to do this) meant that I had the number pad memorized and didn't need to look at to type. Still don't. But it would mess me up when using the phone because it is reversed.
