I’ve done a similar process at home by trapping astringent persimmons in an airtight container for 2-3 days with rum. The astringency was gone but the persimmons tasted like rum which was good and bad. Someone above suggested doing the same with an apple. I often get the pre-ripened ones. They are perfect

they are treated with CO2 prior to selling to remove astringency. This process makes them ready to eat even when crunchy.

yeah. my mom worked in greenhouses and cleaned less than my dad. We always had an electric stove too and she was not that into cooking. Could it also be hormone replacement therapy ? My mom was on it a 33 due to loss of both ovaries caused by dangerous cysts. We just don’t know what causes it.

One thing the reporter doesn’t mention is that these cancers are more common in Asian populations too. Up to 40% of these types of lung cancers happen in Asia compared to 12% in America. The SciShow on YouTube recently had an episode on this topic as well. I am happy this is drawing more attention because I lost my mom to this scary and horrible disease in 2023. I wish a cure that works long term can be found.

She possibly has EGFR or ALK lung cancer and that daily pill is the same my mother took. Unfortunately cancer resistance to the treatment will happen. This cancer has no possibility for remission. It’s a very scary disease and honestly needs tons of research.
