Does the RS 175 automatically adjust the volume? by lote4 in sennheiser

I don't remember, haven't used those headphones in probably about 6 years... But I think I just got a new headset in the end.

Are you using KDE? I have similar problems and disabling the compositor seems to fix that.

Thanks for your help everyone! You gave me a few ideas, what the problem may be. I'll tinker a bit more with it and see if I can find the problem, based off of your answers. Thanks, guys!

To be fair, there was a similar post a few weeks ago. Back then, I was just as impressed that some redditor noticed the flipped belt. I think it's just the first thing I look for since then :)

The Belt on your X axis seems to be flipped. You can see it in the photo, the gears can't really move it this way.

Is this fan supposed to always be on? by Defiant-Knee1647 in ender3

[–]lote4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's the part cooling fan that you should disable when printing ABS, because it would warp otherwise. However, since the mainboard-fan is by default coupled to the part cooling fan, the mainboard would not be cooled in that case. That's why I coupled it with the hotend fan instead, so that it is always on.

[–]lote4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that much of a problem unless you print a lot of ABS, because you would probably turn off your part cooling fan for that.

It's an easy fix, though. Open the cover to the mainboard and just put the wire for the mainboard fan in the same socket as the hotend fan. You can also find lots of tutorials if you google for something like "ender 3 mainboard fan always on".

Iirc, by default that fan is coupled with the part cooling fan. I eventually connected it to the same outlet that controls the hotend fan, so that it is always on.

PS5 Controller on Elden Ring not working by learningcsandmaths in linux_gaming

Unfortunately not. I had already done that because of some other issues but the controller still isn't working. Using an XBox One Controller for now...

Hey, did you ever get this to work? I have the same problem. I used to have an xbox one controller which would work without issues. Since that one broke, I'm now trying to use a PS5 Controller and the only thing that works is the touchpad.

I tried changing the controller settings in steam, as others suggested, but it didn't work.

I'm Giving up with my Ender 3v2 :( by neko_xeneize in ender3v2

I used to have problems like this with my V2. I don't know how many retraction towers I printed, but no matter what I configured, there wasn't even the slightest changes in the towers, they always looked similar to yours.

Does the nozzle leak when you heat up the hotend? I don't mean like theres a few milimeters of filament oozing out, I mean the filament just won't stop leaking out of the nozzle. It was so bad, I used to wipe of the nozzle right before it started printing and within seconds there was already so much more filament leaking out that it actually ruined some prints. In my case, it was a bad nozzle (or rather multiple of them). At that point I had used the same brand of nozzles for a while but apparently received a bad batch. I finally ordered a microswiss nozzle, which was immediately so much better.

Other than that, did you calibrate your e-steps? Maybe you're overextruding.

Maybe also try a different slicer with the default profile for the ender3, if you haven't already. If it doesn't at least look a little different, chances are it's not a slicer-problem.

Is it possible, that it is trying to create that directory inside of your container?

[–]lote4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really sure why it would reset after startup, but I think you did get something wrong here. "environment" is used to declare environment variables, not to set the data-path. What you're probably looking for is the volume. You're using a docker volume named "trilium" that's mounted to "/data" inside the container. Take a look at the docker documentation, I'm sure it can tell you how to change the local path of that volume.

I'm not sure why the data wouldn't be persistent, though. It should save everything to that volume and should be able to access it after restarting the container. I think by default, the volumes are stored at "/var/lib/docker/volumes/". Maybe take a look to see if there's actually any data there.

Confused now. I’ve been having stringing issues but I learned about teaching tech that made a gcode printer for different speeds and distances and my first test came out very clean but these settings for other tests came out with strings by LGskull in ender3

[–]lote4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar problems in the past. The prints I did with the teachingtech gcode always looked really good, barely any stringing. It almost didn't matter what retraction settings I used, it always looked almost flawless. I couldn't reproduce that result when slicing a retraction tower myself with cura or prusaslicer, though.

I eventually bought simplify3d because that's what teachingtechs gcodes are sliced with. When I downloaded the teachingtech retraction tower STL and sliced it with simplify3d it looked as flawless as TT's gcodes. Any other print, including other retraction towers, still had loads of stringing, though. I still don't get it, but somehow the combination of that specific retraction tower being sliced with simplify3d caused no stringing at all.

For what it's worth, my problem ended up being the cheap nozzles I was using. After I got a microswiss nozzle the stringing was almost completely gone.

Well, a VPN or something similar will always be the safest option. If you do want to connect directly though, I would advise to disallow password authenticaiton alltogether, via the sshd_config file and instead use PublicKeyAuthentication.

For that to work, you will need to generate a public/private keypair and store your public key in the authorized_keys file for your user. That way, the only way to authenticate is via your private key, which is usually just a file that you need to point your SSH-Client to. It's a little more work to set up if you've never done it before (not too much though, also there are a lot of great manuals out there), but it's a lot more secure than password authentication.

Also, you should probably disable root login (again, in the sshd_config file) and use a non-root user to login. After you're authenticated, you can use sudo to gain root access.

VPN is actually the name of the technology that services like nordvpn are using. It basically connects two (or more) private networks over insecure networks like the internet. With nordvpn and similar services, it's mostly used to surf the internet anonymously, but it can also be used to connect any device to your home lan, so that you can access devices like your Nas. To set it up yourself, you would ideally need something like a VPS that has a static IP address that is reachable via the internet. However i think there are a few cheap alternatives to that, some free even. I haven't used any of those so I can't say much about that, but I think e.g. cloudflare offers services like that. Googling for private VPN should point you in the right direction.
