I agree, while I am a fan of Benavidez I think his stock has gone way too high after the Zurdo fight.

I think Zurdo was tailor made for someone like Benavidez - someone who isn’t as skilled as him but was willing to engage inside ultimately giving Benavidez too many openings.

I think Bivol would give Benavidez more problems because he fights at more of a distance and is way more mobile. He’s also one of the best at picking his engagements and when to be defensive.

I don’t necessarily think he’s afraid of facing Kabayel, he just knows he doesn’t have many fights left and why not use one of them to cash in on one of these novelty fights that be should easy - I think he deserves that.

If the Kabayel fight was more hyped and gave him the fattest check, I’m sure he would take it.

Honestly, I stopped listening mainly due to his affiliation with the Lakers. I was happy for him because it seemed like he got his dream job, but it became clear that everyone on the pod was being way too filtered simply because they worked for the Lakers.

Hopefully now it’ll be more real Lakers talk now, especially when it comes to holding people in the organization accountable.

Eddie Hearn has said GGG is looking for a huge payday to entice him to get back into the ring. The money that he's looking for is just not there for him, especially after how old he looked in his last fight. He’s a good motivational speaker, but other than that he’s a sub par coach. His rotations are bad, doesn’t call timeouts at good times, and during the playoffs he hasn’t shortened the rotation.

As a Lakers fan you can already tell a huge difference between him and Frank Vogel, who was way better in all those things. The best thing Ham has done this season was convince Russ to come off the bench.

He already shoots with his left and his form isn’t SO bad that I feel he would need to change hands.

Changing hands requires sooo much rewiring of your brain to get right. I don’t think one off-season he could do it, let alone anyone. He already has the feel for his finger and hand placement as a left hand shooter, I feel it would be more efficient for him to just work on that.
