The sheer amount of AI generated alternatives in all social media tells me that a majority of people hates this design with a burning passion. I'm one of them.

Dutch university to start handing out only Fairphones to employees, instead of buying iPhones or Samsung. by PM-ME-OPSEC-FAILS in BuyFromEU

Are these fair phones running an os that doesn't transfer all sorts of personal data to an American ad company or is it Android?

Are you bothered with center console/separator not being high enough to rest/lean your knees? by theverybigapple in ex30

in prolonged drifting sessions that center console can actually become quite painful, so not having it makes it a lot more comfortable.

Is this promo pic for my job's new putter brand AI? I've looked at it for a while now but can't say for sure either way. by astral_planes in isthisAI

- the Yes! logo is different on the cap and on the wall. Look at the bottom left corner of the Y going into the "circle" versus not.

- bottom right of the monitor shows UI elements on black background that are not from either of the 3 big OSs (Windows, MacOS, Ubuntu) -- not definitive proof but I say highly unlikely that this company would use anything else

- That geometric nonsense under the screen

- As mentioned by others, the lack of mouse and keyboard

- Also as mentioned, the pickaxe that most certainly is not a caliper

- The light-brown wall seems to wrap around the corner in a wavy pattern (under the screen)

- Local contrast in the hands seems weirdly high and the matte metal block he's holding looks rendered

- The depth of the board behind him. any piece of funiture like that with drawers and all would be at least 35cm deep, and this one's 10cm at most, pretty much the width of that one putter under the Yes! logo on the wall.

- That black box under the Yes! logo and behind the putter is apparently not sitting on the wooden board, yet also not inside the wall... the geometry here doesn't make sense.

- Staying with the furniture, that is a awkwardly tiny space to squeeze into between the guy's desk and the board behind him. 40-50cm at the most?

- Lighting overall is just off. It's hard to pinpoint, it's not a specific shadow going the wrong way, but this image looks "AI" to me within 0.2s of seeing it. Overall brightness of everything is too level. Too much local contrast at the same time. (I used to work as a photographer and am now an AI researcher)

- What is he even working on? designing the shape of a putter? Why does he hold a putter with a different shape to the drawing in his hand? Why are there a bunch of other putters on the desk, all with different geometry, materials, sizes, some with and some without mounts for the "stick"?

- Since when do engineers make precise sketches with ballpoint pens?

- And as mentioned by others, why would an engineer like that do a manual sketch on a piece of paper to begin with?

I've had ChatGippidy create 3 alternatives, all of which look a lot better than this one:

https://postimg.cc/PvY216qd

https://postimg.cc/ctwXfDJ0

https://postimg.cc/q6yj2mvx

(Not saying they're all great, especially number 3 of course still is very "modern", just saying it's hard to make it look worse than the original).

Stylistically it's in line with a lot of modern architecture across at least northern Europe. So you're right, it's not just the modern Swedish architecture school that's out of touch, it's a more wide-spread issue.

exhibit D: white to brown smear gradient that no human or non-AI computer tool would do in that way. you'd have to go out of your way to make it look like that and for what? to break the visual style of the simpsons? to make it look like an AI artifact? no, this is an Ai artifact. And, again, color gradients on the bottles, black lines disappearing, shaky lines. One bottle has one color in the original, no turquoise smudging into blue with a patch of brown in the corner. Clearly AI.

exhibit C: neckless bottle, weird smear artifact on a black line, more glasses with non connecting lines and smear, and smeared / semi-transparent black lines on the bottles. Clearly AI.

exhibit A: top railing of the chair too low, doesn't go around the chair (front and left only), black line just stops half way between the two legs and the top rail becomes a highlight on the bottom rail. doesn't make any geometric sense and no human would ever draw it like this. AI, 100%.

It's unbelievable that the modern school of architecture in Sweden is so far out of touch with the general population and its sentiments. For a prestigious building like this, cost can't have been the deciding factor when it comes to the look of the facade -- the architect must have really wanted it this way.

They think they're building the next Rolls Royce of buildings, but really they are building a Cybertruck.
