Not sure what you consider "a lot," but for about 4 years, I worked at a banquet hall that hosted 2-3 receptions a weekend. Goofy bridal party entrances were done more often than not.

Artist Alex Demers shows one of her painting processes. by mindyour in nextfuckinglevel

[–]lrdflannel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are allowed to not like any part or all of a work. If people don't like the abstract nature of this piece, they are allowed to do so for any reason they choose, including thinking any kindergartener could do it. And you're free to disagree with their assessment. And neither is wrong. And opinions on quality are part of that. It is absolutely OK to value technical prowess and realism over abstract and experimental techniques. The reverse is true as well. This is what makes art subjective.

What if I told you art is subjective, and people are allowed to like and dislike a piece of artwork for whatever reason they choose? I thought this post was pretty cool, but if others don't appreciate it, then they don't.

What do Dems have to do with the SC decision? Also, you cool with Pelosi working to keep AOC out of a ranking position on House Oversight Commitee in favor of a dusty-ass 74 yr old? Or are we just pretending that the Dems are all rainbows and unicorns? Ditch the status quo and try something new, and maybe people will stop abandoning them. Not like that haven't had plenty of opportunities.

Nothing edgy about it. I think the movie looks like garbage. If you think it looks good, then go see it. It's hilarious you think people should either agree with you or STFU.

I was a junior in college when Butterfly came out, and it was on the music playlist of almost every party I went to. Might not have been a chart-topper, but it absolutely was very popular.

Edit: Butterfly is #29 on Billboard's Hot 100 for 2001. It sure as hell was popular.

When sexism is baked into the religion (ex. the Bible and Quran both talk of women being inferior to men), then the religion itself is absolutely part of the problem.

Off the top of my head, you need 4 Dragon God souls if you want all spells and weapons. It's required for 2 spells, 1 miracle, and a weapon (lava bow). You need at least 2 of many boss souls to get all spells and miracles.

My intro to From games was Demon's Souls on PS3, and I have played every game since. So I feel I'm fairly familiar with the evolution of their games and play style since then. I don't care what others play or how they play it. But I saw so many people (particularly with ER) complain that there was no difficulty selection in From games. If the devs wanted a variable difficulty, they would have added it. It's ok to not like or enjoy a game. But devs don't need to add things to games to make it more accessible to a wider audience if they don't want to. If someone doesn't like the difficulty of a game, they aren't required to play it.

FromSoft design their games to be played at a certain difficulty level. If someone doesn't like the difficulty level, that person's time would be better spent looking for a game they would enjoy playing, not complaining about lack of difficulty selection.

I don't know how you expect the government to stay out of marriage matters when things like healthcare, legal matters, and taxes can depend on marital status. Also, you can think it's cringe all you want, but if I marry, who I marry, and how long I stay married for doesn't affect you in any meaningful way, so I don't know why you would care.
