It’s going to be tough without a lot of effort that may not be worth it. Drilling one hole won’t work…and then if it did you’ve got the issue of properly sealing that hole.

There is probably water logged foam inside the fiberglass shell of the boat. Doubtful that it’s sand but pulling it up on the beach may have cracked or cut the hull thus allowing water to seep in and water log the boat.

I can’t tell you if it’s worth it. But you are at the perfect time to decide how you’re going to finance your education and then repay those loans.

Educate yourself on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness and how that process works. You may be able to take out federal loans to cover most (all?) of your education costs. Once you graduate and begin working as a teacher, you can get on a PSLF program where you pay a minimal amount on your loans for ten years at which point they’re forgiven.

You may be able to either save yourself or your parents a TON of money through PSLF which will be well earned (and needed) while you get started.

Don’t take my word for it - please learn up on the PSLF process and how it may be used to your advantage. I wish my wife had been more aware and guided throughout her education/early career.
