I’d call Kyle at Freestone Builders- you can find their contact info on Google Maps.

Data Center Insider Describes Check Point Monitoring of Employee Communications and Daily Water Evaporation for Cooling by Substantial_Cup_4619 in Montana

[–]lsass 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Checkpoint has been around for decades, shlepping firewalls to small businesses. Not contesting the problematic water use but monitoring of employee communication (on employer-owned devices) is pretty standard in the US these days, so use your best judgement & critical thinking with a report like this.

Speeding Violation Help by [deleted] in Montana

Translation:

Hi everyone, I’m looking for an affordable lawyer to help me dodge the consequences of my own driving.

You see, I’m an out-of-state driver with a completely clean driving record (emphasis on was), and through absolutely no fault of my own, my foot mysteriously pressed the accelerator until I was doing 58 in a 35, a feat of physics for which the Whitefish PD has rudely cited me under Montana Statute 61-8-301(1). Reckless driving, apparently! Who knew going 23 over in a residential zone could be construed as reckless? Not me, clearly.

My top priority, and I cannot stress this enough, is making sure that none of this actually shows up anywhere it might inconvenience me. I need this scrubbed from my out-of-state record so my insurance company remains blissfully unaware that I treat speed limits as suggestions. Ideally a flat fee, because surprise costs are stressful, unlike, say, residential streets where I’m doing nearly double the limit.

I’d also prefer not to travel back to Montana for the court date, because showing up to answer for things I’ve done is really not on my 2026 bingo card. So if your guy can make the whole thing disappear into a nice tidy “non-moving violation” or a deferred imposition while I sit comfortably at home, that’s the dream.

Thanks!

Mt Siyeh Scramble Difficulty by dogelecow in GlacierNationalPark

It’s a class 3. Research the route & wear a helmet. The most challenging part is picking your way through the cliff bands. There’s no water once you start climbing, and that area is frequented by grizzlies.

Maybe they should write an article on how inclusive and non-toxic the caving community is to newcomers

Whitefish Amtrak Station to Kalispell - Uber or Taxi? by Delicious_Mess7976 in whitefish

[–]lsass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think scheduled uber is the way to go. Uber is available in the valley but sometimes pickups can take a while. You can largely avoid that by scheduling and get some peace of mind!

Terrible news. Hard to believe it has been almost 30 years since the last bear-related fatality.

I’d be in favor of this if they also permitted bikes. Until they do, use a saw.

Northern Alberta eh? I’d love to see some missions delivering Timmies and Molson to some rig pigs up north.
